A 24-inch 1080p display with an IPS panel, the U2417HJ is fantastic.
I bought this monitor to replace an old 19" 3x4 monitor. Good resolution.
It is fantastic! I love the resolution size.
The max resolution of this monitor is only 1920x1080, so at the smallest font sizes, shown at 100% or smaller, you will see some aliasing.
I've also found that at this screen size 1080p monitors do start to look a bit pixely.

It’s the perfect size for me - there are others which are more square - this has similar resolution to an iMac screen (pre 5k/4K)
The very best monitor I ever had the pleasure of working on. The 16/10 ratio makes everything -from browsing to typing docs- so much better.
This is an excellent screen for my purposes, general work, document writing, and photo-editing.
I have this monitor for general use and PC gaming. Love it! Excellent screen quality and size. Good price as well.

This is the best color accuracy you can possibly get.
I love the colors on this screen!
A wider viewing angle and very impressive color reproduction.
The 24” 1920x1080 monitor is capable of displaying consistent colors across a 178 x 178 degree viewing angle.
The drawback to IPS panels are a slightly higher response time.

Nice and bright. No sign of dead pixels after 12 hours of use.
Colours are bright and as far as I can tell true. No issues with flicker, slow refresh rates or the like. So all in all I recommend this monitor.
Bought as a second monitor to a 2560x1440 screen. And this quality display shows up that higher res one. Bright and sharp.

Excellent color accuracy and great workplace features.
The best feature of this monitor is the amazing color accuracy.
It has a built in USB 3.0 hub. That's neat and saves me time/desk space. Good feature, many higher end monitors have this, very nice.
The monitor can rotate 90 degrees which is good when proofing portrait documents.

I've always liked Dell's monitor setup - how it connects to stand, the cable management and the skinny borders are a pleasure.
The Dell monitor stands are particularly good. It is easy to rotate the monitor both horizontally and vertically and has a good range of vertical motion.

Many options for connectivity. Love it.
With the number of ports, it is easy to connect different computers to the same monitor.
The USB to micro-USB cable required is included in the box.
Having a built-in USB hubs is great and I use the one on my 27-inch Ultrasharp.
Ordered two for my office, connected to a Dell laptop through a docking station (dual monitor setup).

The connections panel on the back is almost unusable, the only way to slot in USB cables etc is to lay the screen flat, even then its quite an exercise in manual dexterity.
