What customers say about "Key Specs"
AOC AGON AG271UG 27” 4k/UHD G-SYNC IPS Gaming Monitor (4ms, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB)
  • Size-wise, I was worried about a 24" screen seeming too big, but after a few days of using it, it seems a rather ideal size.
  • 27 inch is the perfect size and I love how easy it is to adjust the viewing angle and height of the monitor.
  • 144Hz is nice to have, but not necessary, 1440p is awesome at this screen size. My games look great!
  • Nice monitor that serves dual purposes as a work screen during the day and gaming at other times, great size and picture. G-sync and higher refresh rate means games are very smooth.
  • The monitor is hooked up to a GeForce 1070 in a MSI Vortex gaming desktop and I always take advantage of the higher frame-rates and g-sync on FPS games like Battlefield 1. I think 27 inch is the perfect size too.
ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming Monitor
  • FPS feels supremely different with the big peripheral focus, and the multi-tasking for everyday use it helpful.
  • Very nice monitor overall. Clear picture, and 21:9 in this package is just really neat.
  • 165 Hz is amazing for gaming, especially fast paced games such as shooters, RTS, and racing games.
  • Ultra Low Motion Blur has to be seen to believed. If you can support the consistent frame rates, it really brings gaming worlds alive.
  • 100hz is amazing, but 144hz is better for FPS.. but seriously don't buy this if you're only gunna play shooters..

What customers say about "Display"
AOC AGON AG271UG 27” 4k/UHD G-SYNC IPS Gaming Monitor (4ms, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB)
  • Picture quality-wise, it looks great to me. It is definitely bright (even after adjusting it), but in a good way.
  • In all seriousness, even though setup was an exercise in frustration, viewing angles are great, physical build quality is superb (I love the sturdy metal base), and colors really pop. 1440p and 144hz are icing on the cake. This is probably the best monitor you can buy in the sub $400 range.
  • I came from IPS and was concerned my tastes would be sour with this monitor. The color difference is manageable,so people on the fence its fine. just don't have them side by side.
  • Screen colors, contrast & brightness: Not too bad out-of-the-box, in all honesty. However, as with ALL IPS panels there is always some bleed, this panel is no different.
  • What I will tell you is that the default calibration is bad. Mine had a noticeable green tinge to it. I tried using the factor sRGB calibrated mode but while it's colors were better the contrast and brightness were both way, way too high.
  • Very little backlight bleed. Only noticeable if you look for it.
ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming Monitor
  • Blacks are as black as a non HDR can be and the colors are vibrant.
  • No light bleed or other screen related issues, outside of the entire monitor refusing to run its advertised specs
  • I play my games in a dark room, but usually have the brightness pretty low to not hurt my eyes. I am currently running this monitor at 25% brightness and it is beautiful.
  • The brightness retention is really good. My old 27" Asus' screen becomes a lot darker when you look at the monitor slightly from above and a lot brighter when looking from below.
  • It took me hours to get the color and contrast properly calibrated; it was a major pain, however the on-screen display controls employing their unique throttle control made perfect adjustment possible.

What customers say about "Features"
AOC AGON AG271UG 27” 4k/UHD G-SYNC IPS Gaming Monitor (4ms, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB)
  • The controller for menu on monitor made it super easy to change settings in monitor without using the buttons on bottom. The stand is very heavy and sturdy and can move monitor way up and down to your eye level really like that. Would recommend this to a lot of people.
  • One of the better menu controls for the monitor, Still iffy though
  • The base is a lot heavier than I thought it would be.. It feels very sturdy and durable.
  • Included wired remote is way easier to navigate menu options then standard monitor buttons
  • The monitor menu took some time to figure out and I still don't know how to change some things
ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming Monitor
  • Curve is subtle but surprisingly comfortable and not at all disorienting.
  • The controls on the monitor are by far the best in the industry.
  • The monitor's build quality and features are top-notch; you can really tell that Asus pulled out all the stops on technology and features.
  • The stand is gaudy. I am not a fan of the light, which you can turn off in the menu. The stand is ugly. The predator x34 stand has a nicer not so in your face stand.
  • The edge where the panel meets the bezel combined with the glass has a slight magnifying effect.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
AOC AGON AG271UG 27” 4k/UHD G-SYNC IPS Gaming Monitor (4ms, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB)
  • The headphone hook and USB ports are likewise super convenient, as is the good selection of I/O ports on the back.
  • Good quality and came with a display port and HDMI and some analog audio cables was not put in description but a display port was in box bought one just in case it didnt and 144 hz is a big jump from 60 what i was using before.
  • Comes with HDMI and a Display Port, with a long enough cable
  • The back of the monitors has more inputs that I would ever need, as well as USB ports.
  • It’s a beautiful screen, puts out a great image, has great utility wth usb and mic/headphone connections, and even a rack for headphones.
ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q Gaming Monitor
  • I LOVE the colors, the refresh rate, the brightness, and the variety of ports for additional USB devices.
  • Works as advertised, didn't come with a display port cable kind of a disappointment. Especially since to run 1440p at 144hz you need a display port cable, it does come with HDMI.
  • The power does not come from the standard cable, but instead has an external power brick. I feel that the cables are a bit short, and you then have to store the brick somewhere on your desk.
  • The usb ports are on the back panel and covered. a real pain to get at quickly.
  • 144Hz/165Hz are only available with Displayport. Make sure that you get one that is DisplayPort 1.2 with HBR (High Bit Rate) 2 support.
