What customers say about "Features"
Onkyo TX-NR646 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver
  • I love the smartphone app over WiFi to control the unit, works great, can control receiver from pool and backyard.
  • It handles excellent with your smartphone whether they are streaming music or the onkyo App itself.
  • Onkyo phone app helps greatly and the zone 2 is awewesome, able to listen to separate components.
  • Also love its apps to stream music online. Works very well on wifi and ethernet.
  • Connecting with the Onkyo android app is bad. Permanent disconnection.
Onkyo TX-NR747 175-Watt 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth (Black)
  • I also love that it has an iphone remote app where you can access spotify/tunein radio/pandora streaming audio anytime.
  • Also would have like to have had HD Radio built in but since I stream most of my music this was not a deal breaker.
  • Features all seems to work great. Bluetooth was easy to pair. Love it!
  • It allows you to preset many radio channels, which is a positive side because I can easily switch among my favorites.
  • The iOS app stopped working last year with the iOS upgrade to 11. Myself and many other users have been trying to have support to respond with no luck, this is disappointing.
  • Spotify Connect will play a few songs and drop out. I have to unplug the receiver and reboot to get it to connect again.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Onkyo TX-NR646 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver
  • Also, the Bluetooth takes forever to connect, which was one of the main reasons I bought this.
  • Good receiver , simple connection process cables, easy handling, a bit simple application , excellent interaction with zone 2.
  • The Bluetooth does not work well. It worked on my old phone and would not connect to my new phone.
  • The only complaint is it wont connect with wifi. It does not see my wi-fi, I don’t know what to do with it.
  • Network card is defective. It would connect and lose connection after about 1 minute of play.
Onkyo TX-NR747 175-Watt 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth (Black)
  • The connection between my iPhone 6 Plus and the receiver via bluetooth was seamless and sounds great.
  • HDMI connections holding strong (unlike the Sony that this replaced). Love the multi-room option to select additional sources.
  • Sound quality is great. Easy to connect with all other components.
  • Processor is slow, takes almost a minute for bluetooth to connect.
  • The connection to the TV is horrible. It comes and goes, sometimes just stops after a few minutes, screen goes blank.
