  • This is High End and just about perfect in every way. Sound is just too amazing and looks are beautiful. Built quality is superb by the way.
  • I'm using the Marantz 8012 for music and home theater in the 11.2 configuration. I previously had a different brand in a 7.2 configuration and this is quite an improvement.

What customers say about "Features"
Onkyo TX-RZ3100 THX-Certified 11.2 Channel Network A/V Receiver
  • The receiver turns on when you access the sonos module with the smartphone. It is wi-fi and Bluetooth capable. A great purchase.
  • Having a receiver with dobly atmos has made a tremendous difference in the quality of my surround sound.
  • You can use an app on your phone for connected things, but my older TV and satellite receiver need a traditional remote.
  • The remote is not as good as the last Onkyo receiver I had but it does the job.
  • I was also super bummed to find out they decided to cheap out by not providing a programmable remote.
Marantz SR8012 Receiver - First-Ever High Performance 11.2 Channel
  • The set up was pretty easy and the speaker microphone was a nice touch. I turned the bass up a few decibels higher than what the mic adjusted to and it sounds awesome.
  • This receiver has you covered from all major audio formats for one theater and it is shockingly musical.
  • The setup is clear and easy to accomplish and has many features for difficult room acoustics. The build quality of their components is excellent.
  • The receiver has also been updated to include IMAX Enhanced support, and decodes all of the latest audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D.
  • The application looks unfinished because it constantly refuses to control my receiver.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Onkyo TX-RZ3100 THX-Certified 11.2 Channel Network A/V Receiver
  • I also have a sonos connect unit connected to the Onkyo with a fiber optic cable.
  • Full set of pre-outs allows connection of external amps. Lots of connections. Simple setup menu. Powerful.
  • Since I've had the unit, it's been finicky with 4K rated HDMI cables especially with Dolby Vision enabled, occasionally the picture would flicker, especially with a 4k gaming console.
  • Recently the HDMI output died, no picture was passed to the TV, but the sound was working.
  • Connecting to the built in chromecast is a joke, almost never works.
Marantz SR8012 Receiver - First-Ever High Performance 11.2 Channel
  • The receiver also supports two key features from the upcoming HDMI 2.1 spec: eARC and ALLM.
  • Ease of connectivity is aided by the fact that there's a wide stretch of real estate between the speaker connections on the bottom and the HDMI ports up top.
  • All told, the SR8012 features seven back-panel HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for HDCP 2.2 copy protection. All HDMI ports do an excellent job.
  • ARC and CEC are not working, and there is an echo being added to all surround formats during processing. Needless to say I brought the unit back.
  • Receiver had started losing connection to the internet. Every 5-10 seconds, the connection appeared and disappeared.
