Movies have a great sound with what I would call, for lack of a better word, "natural" rather than an overpowering hyped up sound.
Power seems to be there effortlessly when it is needed, and leaves subtle scenes subtle.
Hands down best receiver I have ever bought. Sounds great. Highly recommended!
Receiver is great so far. I have my front tower speakers bi-amped and they sound great. I'm currently running a 7.1 system.

I have owned 5 pioneer elite receivers and they haven't come close to the sound of the marantz. When I play a movie I can feel the sound.
This receiver ist great, I change for a Onkyo NR757 and the quality of sound and using my same Klipch speakers I have a better sound only with this new model.
I’m super impressed and glad I mad this purchase. I’m using it with external amps and have the amp assignment set up for 12.2 output.
Perfect mix of features, quality, power, and price. And that Marantz sound!
It is driving our Media Room 11.4 system with large screen projector. Setup was easy and it produces fantastic sound.

Movie voice quality is very clear (not entirely sure why, but it is easier to understand dialog).
HEOS makes it easy to manage the receiver for playing internet radio and other stream sources.
I'm going from a Yamaha theater in a box to a Marantz sr6012. Wow what a visual difference! This receiver looks amazing.
The setup with audessy was a breeze, very user friendly. I'm using this receiver for a 5.2.4 atmos setup and it performs flawlessly.
Superior audio quality and craftsmanship on the external components and flawless circuitry and 4K upscaling.

Firmware update was very easy to do as well. HEOS is awesome! Plus it works with Alexa.
The volume and clarity is amazing even running 4.6 ohm loads and at no point at any volume level is there noticeable distortion / hiss or hum.
It's got all the bells an whistles, including IMAX Enhanced Certification. Outstanding picture and sound.
What more can I say, IMAX Enhanced. I really feel that IMAX and DTS will be a huge hit Once Sony pictures and Paramount start releasing movies.
FireTV, blueray DVD, Uverse TV all working great with it. So are AM/FM/Spotify/Pandora.

I just purchased this unit to replace a 5 year old Pioneer Elite. The difference is significant as I had ongoing HDMI switching issues with the Pioneer that are now non-existent with the Marantz.
I am using a Logitec HUB that works flawlessly now that the Marantz is at the center.
Bluetooth and WiFi set up are easy and work well... very happy with the receiver and ease of operation.. deff worth every penny.
This receiver best of the best. Aside from that it has more connections on the rear than I will ever use.
Now, after a week of sporadic use, the HDMI output is crapping out. Awful quality!

Marantz SR6013 AV Receiver 9.2 Channel

Had to upgrade from a older receiver for my new 4k TV. The reciever works great. I especially like the bluetooth connectivity.
Bluetooth is awesome to have. I have iOS devices, so I prefer the lossless nature of Airplay.
I think the best feature this has (for me) is the Bluetooth - my Android phone connects to the receiver instantly once I initially paired it.
Setup was a breeze and auto calibration system even pin pointed one the speakers that had loose connections during initial setup.
Very disappointed out of the box. HDMI switching absolutely didn't work at all (no video coming out) and Audessy setup wouldn't complete (just hangs).
