What customers say about "Key Specs"
All American 921 Pressure Cooker Canner
  • The description says it can hold 32 pints but I like using wide mouth pints. It holds 25 of those plus an additional 3 regular mouth for a total of 28 per load. If you're looking to substantially reduce your time and increase production this is the canner for you.
  • Since I see so many people commenting on the capacity I will state for the record that it does indeed, hold 10 regular pint jars! As wide-mouth pints are larger in diameter, it will only hold 8 of those.
  • If you're thinking of getting a pressure canner to also use as a boiling water bath, this one will work perfectly for half-pints.
  • This one is big enough for pressure canning nice-sized batches but also small enough to be used for pressure cooking family meals. It's exactly the size I need.
  • Geared steam gauge, automatic overpressure release; settings of 5 psi, 10 psi, and 15 psi. 15-3/8 inches high with 12-1/4-inch inside diameter.
  • It is not deep enough for boiling quarts - only for pressure canning them. If you want only one tool for all of your canning, my advice would be to buy a larger All-American.
  • Note I just canned 17 pints and one thing you should note is you need 1 more tray to max out the pint capacity of this as it comes with 2 trays. One for bottom, place cans, then one for 2nd row.
All American 925 25-Quart Pressure Cooker Canner
  • No need for gaskets.
  • There is no gasket. It is metal-on-metal seal, so gone are the days of venting the canner, then getting it up to pressure only to find out you don't have the canner properly sealed. Or hunting down a new rubber gasket because the old one broke.
  • The capacity is great/double of my old one. It works very well, easy to use.
  • The capacity is fantastic because it will hold 25 quarts.
  • The capacity is awesome, takes plenty when you stack em in or you can do a small batch with just a few. Works great for canning and sterilization of mushroom substrate.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
All American 921 Pressure Cooker Canner
  • It is a bit pricey, but is of the highest quality in materials and design. I chose this brand on the advice + review of a women that instructed others on food processing her affiliation with a local extension agency.
  • This is what made in America is all about. This could not be made of better material and the quality of construction is better than anything I've seen before. This thing will be around long after I'm gone.
  • In today's world of marketing BS where the product is all hype, this is one of most quality pieces of cookware that I have seen in a long time. It is well built out of good material and I believe will last many, many years.
  • Great product! Material is heavy duty and cooks great! Love it.
  • This one is big enough for pressure canning nice-sized batches but also small enough to be used for pressure cooking family meals. It's exactly the size I need.
  • Nice heavy construction. The only bad thing is because of the heavy material you cannot use this on glass top stoves. I use this on an outdoor propane burner.
  • Note that a litre kilner jar is not the same dimensions as an American quart jar so you can only fit 6 in at a time not 7 as per quart jars.
All American 925 25-Quart Pressure Cooker Canner
  • Durable - Heavy duty construction
  • Solidly built. It's expensive, but the construction quality makes it worth the price. This thing feels like it'll last forever.
  • This monster is so huge, in the off-season you can put all your canning supplies inside it. We use ours as its own storage container for the special funnels, tongs, lids, etc. when not in use.
  • Heavy and unwieldy. Takes a while to cool down, and rinsing it out is an arm workout.
  • Interior surface has a micro-grooved texture that makes it more difficult to clean.

What customers say about "Control"
All American 921 Pressure Cooker Canner
  • The manufacturer has upgraded the lid handle to a molded Bakelite piece and it's solid as a rock. I can't wait for my veggie garden and peach trees to start over producing so that I can break this puppy in.
  • Handles and knobs are built well also, not cheap crap plastic, but good Bakelite.
  • This is a heavy duty cast aluminum pressure canner/cooker and it's made in the USA! I really like that I don't have to be concerned about a rubber gasket and/or watching the pressure gauge during the processing time.
  • We've canned meats, sauces, veggies, fruits, etc with great success. It is super simple to use. The little knobs that hold the lid on do get hot, but that's to be expected.
  • Another advantage the All-American has over the Presto is that it uses a weight to regulate the pressure; if you leave the heat up too high on an All-American, excess heat just leaks out, keeping the pressure inside just right
  • Only problem I ever had was with the first 1/2 dozen uses or so when I had a very hard time getting the lid off.
  • When venting steam it goes directly into the control panel for my microwave because it's so tall. That worries me a bit, moisture getting into the control panel for the micro...
All American 925 25-Quart Pressure Cooker Canner
  • Pressure regulated by weight versus the pressure gauge that needs to be checked every year.
  • The weighted gauge makes the canning process easier to manage. Once you get the hang of heat control you don't need to babysit the cooker to make sure the proper pressure is maintained.
  • I use my AA on a cast iron bayou classic turkey fryer with a propane heat source outside and it works amazing, very easy to control temperature and keep a solid 15 psi.
  • I really like the weight which helps to control the pressure. Not having to worry with a gasket which was the main reason I got this canner. Very good deal.
  • Pressure regulation is limited to 5, 10 or 15psi, which may be a challenge for those at some altitudes.

What customers say about "Features"
All American 921 Pressure Cooker Canner
  • Washing after canning can be done with vinegar, so stock up and get used to the smell.
  • It makes tomato canning a lot easier and faster since I switched from water bath canning to pressure canning my tomatoes. No more kitchen full of steam from hours of running the water bath kettle, plus I can do twice as many pints at a time.
  • The workmanship is great and functions flawlessly. I don't consider myself an experienced pro when it comes to canning. But I have put several loads through this thing so far and am perfectly content with it.
  • Canning is a more realistic option now, due to the capacity of this canner. The description says it can hold 32 pints but I like using wide mouth pints. It holds 25 of those plus an additional 3 regular mouth for a total of 28 per load.
  • As you would expect for the price compared to similar foreign-made options; this is a very high quality, heirloom-potential, USA-made pressure canner that will last for decades, properly cared for.
  • Unlike most products nowadays, this is obviously built to last, and I'm very satisfied. However, I wish they had another option at a smaller size, since I'm usually cooking for myself.
All American 925 25-Quart Pressure Cooker Canner
  • It comes with a pressure rocker that is set for 5,10 or 15 lbs - allowing for more fool-proof canning.
  • The lid screw downs hold the lid on, and there is two safety features for pressure relief. The weighted pressure gauge is so simple a kid could operate this.
  • Good safety features, solid construction.
  • The pressure gauge is a great feature that lets you see exactly how much pressure you are applying to the food.
  • I wish it came with a basic accessory kit that contained things like the cleaning tool for the vent.
