About the Product
Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2™ multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.
The Hyper 212 EVO cooling systems are designed and optimized to provide the best user experience and cooling potential for a new generation of processors. The Hyper 212 EVO now features four Cooler Master patented Continuous Direct Contact (CDC) heat pipes that are tightly packed into a flat array on the CPU Cooler base. This acts as a virtual vapor chamber that dissipates a large amount of heat. The aluminum fin structure has been optimized to provide the perfect performance balance between high and low speed fan operations.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
Noctua NH-D14 6 Heatpipe Dual Radiator
  • It works really well. At 10 - 20% cpu it sits at room temp 17 - 19C. Under stress test (prime95) of the CPU it does not get over 30C. Old stock cooler was having trouble keeping it under 70C. Its quieter than the stock cooler.
  • Excellent construction, the base plate was super smooth and has a mirror finish
  • Great cooling - I stress tested it to a max of 54 C... compared to the stock fan that let it run up to a whopping 79C (mobo will shut it down at 83C)
  • Cooling performance is top-notch... it dominates liquid coolers easily
  • I know this is a discontinued cooler, but it is hands down terrific, I do highly recommend getting some PWM fans too (ideally Noctua NF-A14 industrial fans, expensive, but they are some of the best on the market) to cut down noise and increase airflow.
Cooler Master 212 EVO Hyper CPU Cooler
  • It's the best "air" cooling device I've owned, simply incredible performance for the price.
  • Cools processor very well, can achieve between a 10-15 degree temperature drop.
  • The fan itself is removable from the cooling fins so you can switch it to the other side to change the direction if necessary.
  • For quiet air cooling, I don't think you can get much better than this without spending way more.
  • It cools the CPU great and has great airflow through the entire case to help other parts like the RAM.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Noctua NH-D14 6 Heatpipe Dual Radiator
  • Overall, if you can get over the size and the brown color scheme, this is probably the best air cooler on the market.
  • It's really big. This is really only a con if you have a small case though.
  • May have clearance issues with high profile RAM.
  • It is big. The 120mm fan would touch my ram sticks so I ended up taking it off and using it as a top case exhaust fan (push configuration).
  • It's huge, had to remove the heatsinks on my memory. Make sure you have lots of space in your case for this beast.
Cooler Master 212 EVO Hyper CPU Cooler
  • The metal cooling assembly appears to be well constructed, although the fan seems very light duty.
  • I like the larger sized fan and the fact that it hangs over other key parts of the mobo, keeping them much cooler.
  • I thought weight might be an issue however this heatsink is light as a feather.
  • I have a fairly large case. Even with the size of my case, this unit barely fits inside of it with how tall it is. Make sure you check the dimensions of your case before buying this! I doubt this would work with any mid sized case.
  • I literally had to change pc cases to accommodate the size.
  • The heatsink is very heavy so the new mount you have to install is made to disperse the weight and not put too much strain on one small spot on the motherboard.

What customers say about "Features"
Noctua NH-D14 6 Heatpipe Dual Radiator
  • To my ears, it's silent (my graphics card or my back case fan are probably louder than this)
  • Perfect fitting with thermal paste evenly spread. The product has screw springs that serve to SECURELY fix the plating to the CPU and in this process helps squash and spread the thermal paste evenly across the surface.
  • Quiet. It is so much quieter compared to liquid coolers
  • Perfect instructions, easy to read and understand (so many times I have had to stop and think about other instructions and wonder, what are they trying to say)
  • Can be hard to mount depending on the case and the size of your hands.
Cooler Master 212 EVO Hyper CPU Cooler
  • The fan speed is automatically controlled by the system software, depending on how much cooling the CPU needs at the moment.
  • Not only has the temperature cooled but it has helped to speed up my computer as even when my computer is running an intensely graphical game I am no longer receiving any thermal stuttering.
  • The fan hasn't noticeably raised the noise level in my PC, which is fairly quiet.
  • Copper heat pipes just look cool. The copper pipes definitely made a huge difference.
  • The fan does emit some noise, so I swapped it out for a Noctua fan and again had it them on the lowest settings and i had roughly the same performance, but much quieter.
  • The only problem this has to me is that it has quite a loud fan, a pair of Good headphones is a requirement to drown out the background noise.
