What customers say about "Key Specs"
Dymo LabelWriter 450 Thermal Label Printer
  • This label writer is AWESOME!!!! Prints my labels with lightening speed.
  • Amazing, timesaver...what took me hours is completed in minutes! I. Laughed at the speed and clean printing.
  • Excellent Quality and Speed! Well needed for my shipping purposes. A+++Seller!
  • The quality is amazing and I absolutely love this. It's already paid for itself saving: gas, my time, energy, and post office costs (a little more IDK why) so I feel like this easily pays for itself in a short time.
  • The con is one that has plagued Dymo for several generations of it's label writers - it is unreasonably difficult to install new labels.
Brother QL-700 Professional Label Printer
  • This printer is great for quick label printing and supper fast.
  • Everything prints clearly, unlike another label maker I was previously using. And the labels really stick, unlike the same former label maker I was using.
  • In maximum quality it prints a lot slower than the QL-500 but it is 2x the resolution (in one dimension), at regular resoultion (I can't tell the difference) it screams through labels.
  • Otherwise, in terms of quality and speed, this is great for the price. Just wanted to put it out there for FBA sellers as I experienced this first hand myself.
  • If you are printing maps for example the print quality isn't acceptable unless it is a custom drawn map with thick lines. It does vector graphics okay; icons, banner images etc.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Dymo LabelWriter 450 Thermal Label Printer
  • Size is compact so keep next to my computer ready to go.
  • Compact and accurate.
  • It's compact size is great, so it's not taking up too much space, a power cord, USB cable and power adapter are included.
  • Good product though it seems a bit large/bulky.
Brother QL-700 Professional Label Printer
  • It is heavy but this ensures it stays on your desk with little chance of it getting accidentally knocked off
  • This machine is larger than the others, but the quality trumps the size for me.
  • Love this label maker! Not too big that it can't fit on my desk at home. I use it mostly for an at-home business as well as some personal uses.
  • I was looking for a small, easy to use label printer and this one is perfect. I didn't want anything big and bulky or expensive.
  • This label printer is GREAT!!! It's a snap to setup even for non-computer geeks, doesn't take up a lot of space, and works as advertised. This printer is worth it's weight in gold. Will save you time and make your packages look professional.

What customers say about "Features"
Dymo LabelWriter 450 Thermal Label Printer
  • Software very well done and forgiving. You can do this AND no more buying INK! How perfect is that!
  • The "headline" just about says it all: this printer is quick, compact, and clear! We use it for our new point-of-sale system at our retail store, and it does just what we need.
  • Favorite features are ability to create static fields so all labels look the same, and the 'mirror' printing so that if I fold a label over the top of a file folder I can see what it is from both sides.
  • The software that comes with it is user friendly and the label roll is very easy to install.
  • The only negatives are; i) It is annoying that it's not powered over USB so you have to plug in another wall-wart (DC supply)
  • You have to be careful about lining up the roll (there are good instructions on how to do this) otherwise it chews up the labels.
Brother QL-700 Professional Label Printer
  • The software has two modes; a simplified mode for people who just want to print basic labels with some standard templates, and a power-user mode where you can connect to external data sources and do all sorts of fancy things (bar codes, QR codes, complex layouts, etc.)
  • On the economy mode print quality is acceptable on tiny font size < size 8
  • Easy one at a time labels, a brazillion ;) font choices, and whips out of the machine so quick you almost need a catcher's mitt. It comes with one starter pack of standard address labels, and one starter pack. Of note, the postage printing option appears to work only on windows computers.
  • The text size randomly changes in the app, it will print beyond the borders of the label, it will sometimes inexplicably adjust spaces and margins... and sometimes won't.
  • Has a hard time keeping connected - says it is offline when it is showing up clearly in my device list. When it works it is great. I have a problem every time I change ot the roll of labels - it does recognize the connection
