The detachable insect tray is a little flimsy.

OUR VERDICT

Athemo Bug Zapper can be used in many different scenarios and locations. As an insect killer, the model is second to none. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the bug zapper bulb is also really safe and overall practical. You can even use it as a porch light.

Apart from that, the bug zapper bulb from Bonlux is a really good all-around product. It usually takes the model somewhere between 1 and 2 hours to attract and neutralize every insect in the vicinity. The price is pretty nice too.

PINSAM Bug Zapper Light Bulb is easily the best option on this list for larger premises, including residential, commercial, and industrial areas. Though the model isn't without its downsides, its power will likely make up for any shortcomings in other departments.

Athemo Bug Zapper Light Bulbs

40,000 Hours Straight

Athemo bug zapper bulb is an effective tool first and foremost. Armed with the latest, most advanced light-wave technology and a built-in insect light trap, the model is able to execute flies, mosquitoes, moths, fleas, and bug gnats.

The 9W LED light bulb is soft but bright at the same time. Plus, its lifespan is exceptional, able to work for 40,000 hours. It is about as energy-efficient and eco-friendly as they come. What's more, it is able to work without producing any noise.

As it is usually the case with quality bug zapper bulbs, the model doesn't produce any harmful or chemical substances. You'll be able to protect your family from pesky bugs without endangering kids and pets.

The model is relatively small but, again, more than effective. You can use it indoors as well as outdoors. It will prove helpful in a living room or kitchen, you can put it on a deck or porch. A bug zapper like this one will work wonders in any garden, warehouse, garage, office, hotel, restaurant, the list goes on.

The bulb's overall construction doesn't really leave any room for complaints except for the insect tray which is a little flimsy.

Long story short, Athemo Bug Zapper can be used in many different scenarios and locations. As an insect killer, the model is second to none. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the bug zapper bulb is also really safe and overall practical.

Hoont Bug Zapper Light Bulb

No Flickering

Hoont Bug Zapper Light Bulb is a really potent device but not necessarily the most versatile and/or well-balanced one. On one hand, the model is really effective. It's designed to spread light in all four directions. This way, the bug zapper is able to provide a 360-degree fly eliminating protection.

However, its coverage area is relatively limited. More than 500 square feet and the model might not be able to attract and execute every bug in the vicinity. The people behind this product market is as an industrial solution as well as a commercial/residential one but we aren't inclined to give them that first one. You really need better coverage than that to make an industrial case.

From the lightbulb perspective, the story is similar. On one hand, the UV light isn't too bright but as effective as it gets, able to attract insects without distracting the people around it. Plus, it doesn't flicker, so there's very little chance you'll find it distractive.

On the other hand, the aforementioned UV lamp lasts for about 8,000 hours, really not that impressive considering that it isn't necessarily the cheapest option on the market today.

All things considered, Hoont Bug Zapper Light Bulb is a little difficult to suggest. Provided you don't mind the relatively short UV lamp lifespan and you aren't looking to cover a huge industrial area, the model is an effective pest control solution, as good as they come.

Bonlux Bug Zapper Light Bulb

Effortless Maintenance

Bonlux Bug Zapper doesn't necessarily present anything we haven't seen before. The model is more or less everything people look for in these bug zapper bulbs. It comes equipped with a convenient switch that allows you to choose between 3 different lighting modes: bug zapper, lighting, lighting and bug zapper. Hopefully, the names speak for themselves and we don't really have to cover and explain the difference between these modes.

The 650-square feet coverage area is nothing to scoff at either. With a range like that, you'll be able to put and use the model in many different premises and facilities, including residential, commercial, and industrial areas.

As far as the model's construction is concerned, we can't say that there is much to complain about too. The insect tray is considerable, so you won't have to empty and clean it all that often. On the subject of cleaning, the zapper comes supplied with a mini clean sweeper, further simplifying maintenance.

The only real weak link here is the relatively small slots that won't always be able to zap larger insects.

Apart from that, the bug zapper bulb from Bonlux is a really good all-around product. It usually takes the model somewhere between 1 and 2 hours to attract and neutralize every insect in the vicinity. The price is pretty nice too.

ZappLight Bug Zapper Bulb

Different Environments

ZappLight Bug Zapper Bulb is as much a good light bulb as it is an effective pest control device. The model is relatively soft but really bright, able to deliver adequate lighting for different family rooms, patios, decks, or an entire home. It comes fitted with 3 different modes.

You can go with the first mode that attracts and kills bugs without providing any lighting. Alternatively, you can choose a lightning mode that does a complete opposite of that, providing lighting without killing bugs. Of course, there's always the third option - both of these modes at the same time, so that you're able to enjoy a well-lit, bug-free environment.

A nice little detail is that you can choose between these 3 modes using the switch without having to reach for the bug zapper, which is a much more convenient and sensible option more often than not.

The coverage area caps at 650 square feet, pretty good but nothing to write home about. The insect tray is relatively spacious, which is always a good thing. However, it is a little difficult to clean.

All in all, what we have here is a bug zapper bulb that will prove helpful in many different environments. You can put it indoors as well as outdoors, provided the unit will stay dry there.

PINSAM Bug Zapper Light Bulb

Power to Extend the Coverage Area

The model from PINSAM might be occupying the last spot on our list right now but that has nothing to do with the unit's power. In fact, what we have here is easily the most powerful option in this selection.

The 15W light bulb will be able to cover up to 1000 square feet, really impressive considering that the product is really cheap too. It should last for about 40,000 hours, making the model a small but really smart long-term investment.

The only real reason this bug zapper bulb hasn't been able to score a little higher than the last place is that the electrified grid makes a particularly audible buzzing sound that, as you would imagine, can get a little annoying over time. But it really isn't an indictment on its overall quality otherwise.

Similar to every other product on this list, the model is equally suitable for indoor and outdoor use (as long as the unit stays dry). It comes equipped with the same 3 lightning modes: bug zapper, lighting, lighting and bug zapper. Last but not least, the unit does not contain nor produce harmful chemicals.

To sum it all up, PINSAM Bug Zapper Light Bulb is easily the best option on this list for larger premises, including residential, commercial, and industrial areas. Though the model isn't without its downsides, its power will likely make up for any shortcomings in other departments.

Review of PINSAM Bug Zapper Light Bulb 15W 2 in 1 Mosquito Killer Lamp

What Is a Bug Zapper Bulb?

There are many different pest control solutions on the market today. In fact, there are many different bug zappers. You have outdoor zappers, indoor zappers, bug zapper rackets, and just about anything in-between. Naturally, these devices have their downsides too. With a racket, you have to personally execute the insects. Regular zappers are great but they require additional space.

That's where a bug zapper bulb comes in. Because it combines a bug zapper with a regular light bulb, you don't have to sacrifice any space, you just have to switch the usual light bulb for one of these bug zapper models. They're able to keep the area well-lit and neutralize the flying threats at the same time.

These devices aren't too expensive nor are they difficult to maintain. You can install most models indoors and outdoors (though you'll probably have to make sure that the unit will be able to stay dry for obvious reasons). Plus, most products here will allow you to switch between different lighting modes.

Don't mind killing flies, moths, mosquitos, and other flying insects yourself? One of these bug zapper rackets should prove right up your alley then. Alternatively, you can try bug sprays.
