What customers say about "Key Specs"
Sony BDP - S6700 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player
  • If you don't have a smart tv then make it smart using this player. Full HD 4K upscale is really great.
  • WiFi works fine and streaming quality is good. Overall I am happy with it so far.
  • Not a bad player and the smart functionality is useful. 4k quality is awesome.
  • Very good resolution Blu-ray player. I would recommend it. Just buy it and you can see 4k miracle!
  • We enjoy our Sony streaming 4K wi-fi Built-In Blu-ray Player. Extremely smooth play back, razor sharp and looks sleek in our console.
Sony BDP-S6500 3D 4K Upscaling Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi (2015 Model)
  • This player will also up-convert your .jpg pictures via its USB to 4K if they are high enough in resolution. Really spectacular on a good 4k TV.
  • Incredible resolution, as new technology.
  • We have a 4K television and the resolution is excellent through the Blue - Ray. Very glad we bought it.
  • You can use Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection to connect.
  • My greatest concern of the Wi-Fi was it's ability to maintain a connection to my network (I have experienced issues with other video products).

What customers say about "Features"
Sony BDP - S6700 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player
  • Very happy with the build in apps that come with it. Decent performance, like it.
  • I like it very much for that front USB port for reviewing my HD video edits.
  • Has a usb port in the front which makes it convenient to plug into.
  • It has many of the standard apps for streaming and can use Ethernet wired or wifi wireless connections to access the streams.
  • It started disconnecting from the wifi randomly. Sometimes it might stay connected for a few hours, others only 15 minutes or less. This requires unplugging the unit and plugging it back in to reset.
Sony BDP-S6500 3D 4K Upscaling Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi (2015 Model)
  • The BDP6500 plays DVD’s and Blu-Rays just great, I couldn’t be happier with the playback from them.
  • But for Blu-rays and connecting video files via usb on front it's great.
  • You can use Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet connection to connect. I tried both, and naturally I got better image quality from the wired connection, although the Wi-Fi image was still pretty darn good.
  • Nice Remote control – feels good in the hand, and has on/off volume and input controls for multiple TV brands (not only Sony).
  • I bought two movies that are in the 4K format and when I insert either one into the player it says that no disc is found. I could only watch the movies using the standard Blu-ray discs.
  • I do have a complaint about the apparent lack of ability of using USB wireless keyboards to type instead of having to use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate the on-screen keyboard, which is cumbersome and really stinks.

What customers say about "Outputs"
Sony BDP - S6700 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player
  • Easy hookup with the HDMI port. Setup was super simple. Highly recommended!
  • HDMI and Digital Coaxial Audio are perfect for my existing system. Fits well.
  • Very easy to set up. Plug in power cord, then plug in HDMI cable to TV and now your ready to watch brilliant movies!
  • Super easy to install, set up and activate. Only need to plug power cord into outlet, and hook HDMI cable to rear of DVD player.
  • Granted, I haven't tried a physical disc (DVD or BluRay) but the picture quality via HDMI and sound quality via the Digital Coax has been good so far.
Sony BDP-S6500 3D 4K Upscaling Blu-ray Player with Wi-Fi (2015 Model)
  • Make sure your audio system will accept HDMI or digital in if you plan on connecting it to surround sound.
  • But the real reason I purchased this is that it plays SACDs, connecting to a receiver over an HDMI cable.
  • This one is compact smaller than a Verizon router and works perfectly with one HDMI cable.
  • It would be nice if it provided audio out other that by HDMI or Digi Coax.
  • However, on the back there is only a coaxial output, hdmi port, and ethernet port. I was looking for something i could run the sound seperately to my surround sound.
