General Specifications
About the Product
Despite its compact size, it may be hard to ignore the TL WA855RE due to the truly impressive way that it projects Wi Fi access into the areas of your home that your standard router simply cannot reach.
TP-Link's TL-WA850RE is designed to conveniently extend the coverage and improve the signal strength of an existing wireless network to eliminate 'dead zones'.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
TP-LINK TL-WA855RE N300 WiFi Range Extender
  • If you use your internet everyday for school or work, slow speeds speeds can be detrimental. This completely fixed the issue for me.
  • The speed is decent: about 15Mbps when sitting by the extender and 10Mbps in the farthest section of the patio (about 30ft away from the door).
  • Super strong signal and a solid 40MBPS when running a speed test.
  • Easy to install, yes, but it doesn’t improve my WiFi speed, it actually lowers it.
  • Speeds are dismally slow compared to what I should be getting.
TP-LINK TL-WA850RE N300 Wi-Fi Range Extender
  • My room is in the attic, the router is downstairs, and it has boosted my PS4 speed from 8gb to 30gb!!! It even has a very handy app!
  • I performed a few internet speed tests with SpeedCheck Pro and wow... my internet speed had increased from about 3-5Mbps to 20-30Mbps.
  • I can wholeheartedly recommend this device and although nowhere do they advertise that it increases internet speed, in my case it certainly has.
  • Vastly better than devices using our house's (modern) wiring, both in terms of ease of setup and signal strength/ speed.
  • Using an online speed test I measured an increase from 26mbps to 97mbps so has proven to be very effective.

  • It's smaller than I thought, about the size of 3 stacked packs of post-it notes.
  • The size is perfect as I have it plugged into the wall behind my bedroom dresser, due to a limited amount of outlets.
  • I like the sleek design it's about half the size of my other bulky one.
  • This is small in size so you can still plug something else into the other plug in the wall.
  • Setup is insanely easy and it is a great size, nice, compact little unit.

What customers say about "Features"
TP-LINK TL-WA855RE N300 WiFi Range Extender
  • Followed very clear, easy instructions to sync with WPS. Indicators worked fine.
  • The status indicator light is a nice feature to let you know if it's connected - green good, orange bad.
  • Tether is the app that allows me to access and configure my TP-Link Devices. It shows the status of the devices in real time.
  • The only drawback is the indicator light. I wasn’t expecting it to be so bright.
  • The indicator light stayed green even with no connection.
TP-LINK TL-WA850RE N300 Wi-Fi Range Extender
  • Excellent product. Easy to configure with the "Tether" app. Just follow the instructions on app as you go.
  • I had to use the app on my phone to synce it which wasn't a problem.
  • If you don't have a cable, an App on your phone should allow you to perform a step by step setup.
  • Blue lights do shine very brightly at night which is a bit annoying.
  • Interestingly the TP-Link app sometimes says the signal is weak between the router and extender, and at others says it's perfect, even though neither has moved or is obstructed.
