The power and coverage was surprising to say the least and the throughput.
The Netgear AC1200 integrates the latest technology to provide the best Wi-Fi coverage of any booster on the market.
The new browser interface is simple to use. Here's a great way to use it to get maximum speed especially for video related uses if you need to use those in a remote part of your house.
The Netgear AC1200 was one of the first boosters to boast the 11ac technology. As such, this booster supports devices with the latest Wi-Fi technology.
For those who don't know, in very basic terms, because of their frequencies, 5GHz is able to carry data higher speeds but gets blocked by walls and other solid objects.

You can plug in the additional range extenders, but I found this dual band device gave me better coverage than the (3) 2.4Ghz extenders that we had working with our old cable modem/wifi device.
The unit does have a fairly sensitive receiver and transmits fine. I went from 2 bar to 5 bar coverage and improved performance.
Works great - big increase in Wifi coverage.
Now the coverage is almost as good as upstairs on the other side of the house. I've streamed movies and it doesn't seem slower at all.
Moved it to the mid-point in my house to where it 'should' help extend the coverage and it helps by maybe 1 bar. GRRRR.

Great little device that does as advertised, small and not heavy at all.
It has a high-technology appearance and looks fairly elegant if placed on a shelf or table top.
Ideal size for home and office. Plug in and forget about it.
The one problem that the AC plug is on the upper side of the device, making it difficult to place in AC outlets that do not have enough space below due to a piece of furniture or moulding.
This thing is large and heavy especially by comparison to my older extender.

The device is easy to setup. That and it's small size are the two best things to say about it.
This lil device is Absolutely Awesome!!! It's range is incredibly strong for it's size and price.
It was up and running in 10 min. I was surprised by the size by being that compact.
Great extender. High speed and small size.
I bought two of these on Prime day at bargain prices because of their small size and portability.

Plugged it in, turned it on, and the browser walked me through a complete and secure install in three minutes.
The indicator lights on this extender provide indication on proximity to router to help optimize installation location and connection status.
This device is basically a lightweight wireless router with an integrated power supply and single ethernet port.
Only one ethernet port, which may require a seperate switch in AP mode.
Web-based user interface provides too little information, is counter-intuitive and often at odds with what the LEDs on the unit indicate.

Technically the Extender is working just fine. The indicator lights on the Extender are helpful, too. I like them!
I love the led lights that indicate whether the signal from the main router is reaching the extender well and whether the devices connected to the extender are receiving a good signal from it.
The set up is extremely easy and was ready in a few minutes. Also the indicator lights make it really easy.
I like how the extender has status LEDs to show both it is connected to your main WiFi hub and also that device(s) are paired with it and working.
Sometimes the LED indicators will flash red despite not showing any problems with my devices.
