What customers say about "Key Specs"
URC R50 Digital Universal Remote Control for up to 18 Components
  • The URC R50 has soft rubber buttons the conform more the interaction with the human hand. The surfaces aren't smooth and sleek like the Harmony, but it gets the job done.
  • Every button (except for the FAV) button on the URC R50 can be customized. There's no clunky computer setup and no need to use codes. I found it much easier and quicker to use the learning function for ever button.
  • Very easy to use and program with excellent range.
  • I've always been impressed with infrared capabilities of this particular brand's remotes and as with the previous ones you don't need a direct line of sight to the device
  • It indeed works but sometimes will mix up the keys and perform the wrong functions.
Logitech Harmony 650 Infrared All in One Remote Control
  • With one button I control all of my devices. I an even switch from tv to blu ray or netflix with one button.
  • One button turns on the projector, surround sound amp, and bluray player. I am able to control all the devices with just one remote and it actually works well with everything.
  • A lot of the buttons on the remote are customizable to your needs.
  • It has better range and works better than even the remotes that came with the devices I have.
  • The buttons are very small and not responsive to pressing. I have had problems since the original purchase date. The buttons are really too small and sensitive that they do not always respond on the first press.
  • Doesn't have a good indicator of battery life, and range diminishes as your battery dies, so you find yourself having to wiggle around and aim at different angles to get it to work.

What customers say about "Features"
URC R50 Digital Universal Remote Control for up to 18 Components
  • The URC R50 uses batteries, and those batteries can be replaced. The R50 also offers 18 hours of continuous button mashing with 4 AA batteries, or months of normal intermittent use.
  • The URC R50 also has a time out kill switch that will put the remote on standby if one button is pressed continually for more than a minute. In other words, battery saving features make this remote a good alternative to remotes with rechargeable battery packs.
  • I was able to program this remote completely in about half an hour, and that's for four devices and setting up macros. The macro setup was very easy, simply hit the start button and go through the steps on the remote how you want the macro to function
  • Macros can be made to meet virtually any need and are quite useful.
  • The problem is that the LCD screen recently went blank (all white), so the programed button functions do not show. I have used it enough that I have the locations of the programmed buttons memorized from the screen
Logitech Harmony 650 Infrared All in One Remote Control
  • The display is bright and easy to read.
  • Easy to use and works for almost every remote control device.
  • This device works exactly as expected. The codes available control devices that DVR remotes could not. The ability to program it via the web app is a real plus.
  • It's very handy to control the tv, blu ray player, and receiver. You program it on your computer to not only control devices, but to do actions as well.
  • Smart, intuitive and easy commands to walk you out of tangles.
  • Also, a small but annoying gripe is that you can't control how the activities are displayed and what order they are in to reflect the activities you use most often.
  • As for design - it does it's job with just a minor issue - the 4 buttons around the display gets caught in it's recess IF depressed at an angle (so do take care).
