If you have the right cooling you can overclock pretty well.
This is a great all-around CPU and can be the basis of a great machine!
This thing is a beast. I have been running it @ 4Ghz for the last 3 1/2 years.
I've been using this processor for about 40 days and it up and died last night.
The socket for these CPUs is very odd - the pins are angular and face in 4 different directions, requiring an incredibly delicate hand while installing.

If you are looking to build or upgrade your computer, take at look at this CPU. It can do almost everything!
This is a real powerhouse of a CPU, with 6 cores and 12 logical threads, it just rips through anything I have thrown at it.
So far this CPU is rocking. I have it overclocked to 4 and it runs awesome with my liquid cooling.
Upgraded from an AMD FX-8350 OC'd as I had bottleneck issues when using HTC Vive VR. This solved that issue and runs great.
Bought this a year ago and the six cores really helps me a lot for graphic rendering and all the VM I needed.

Requires DDR4 memory and a new platform. It's great!
Combined with better memory bandwidth gives me a 50-60% increase in productivity within After Effects which is a huge improvement.
I was getting 6 cores/12 threads with 15mb of L3 cache gave me access to not only play games but do video editing and anything i may need that needs a good CPU.
Adaptive cache memory is amazing!
Being able to support 64GB of ram gives me hope for a brighter future. I hope I don't have to update the processor in the coming years.

It's a fast amazing product for an old generation (DDR3 based) machine.
Paired with a nice amount of memory, it's been better than I expected any i5 to be.
There is enough cache for comfortable playing games.
It runs Windows 10 very well. It works great with 32GB memory.
The CPU speed is excellent. Excellent memory compatibility.
