Installation was easy with AM4 socket.
Can upgrade to newer Ryzen CPUs because they use AM4 socket.
Important things to keep in mind, make sure that your motherboard has an AM4 socket. Good for me.
Future proof AM4 socket. Happy with the chip.
Motherboard selection is more limited for the AM4 socket and there are some ram compatibility problems.

Intel Core i7-7700K Desktop Processor

I like it very much. This is the fastest CPU that will fit in my Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5.
The I7 7700k is a great CPU. Great socket. Easy to install.
Socketed in and started up, no issues whatsoever.
The 7th gen processors are so easy to set in place. I love the spring contacts on the sockets for them.
If you aren't planning using Windows 10 - Kaby Lake will not support previous versions of Windows natively.

Ryzen loves it’s high frequency memory. The system performs awesome and is good for both work and play!
Memory support has greatly increased since launch.
Compatible with my memory (16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHZ).
It could not run my 2x16GB DDR4-3200 memory faster than 2933 MHz.
Don't work with high-speed memory. Not run with my memory.

Intel Core i7-7700K Desktop Processor

Super fast and works perfectly with my Asus Maximus IX motherboard and G.Skill 3600 Memory.
Paired the 7700k with an Asus Apex using Trident Z memory. Great performance.
There are no problems with memory compatibility.
The memory runs great at full speed with this processor.
Unfortunately the maximum amount of memory is 64GB, which is not enough for my needs.
