  • Installation was easy with AM4 socket.
  • Can upgrade to newer Ryzen CPUs because they use AM4 socket.
  • Important things to keep in mind, make sure that your motherboard has an AM4 socket. Good for me.

  • Motherboard selection is more limited for the AM4 socket and there are some ram compatibility problems.

  • I like it very much. This is the fastest CPU that will fit in my Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5.
  • The I7 7700k is a great CPU. Great socket. Easy to install.
  • Socketed in and started up, no issues whatsoever.
  • The 7th gen processors are so easy to set in place. I love the spring contacts on the sockets for them.
  • If you aren't planning using Windows 10 - Kaby Lake will not support previous versions of Windows natively.
