What is a Monitor Stand
If you spend a lot of time on your computer during the day, the wrong monitor position may lead to incorrect posture or cause eyes and neck strain. The solution is simple. Just use a stand to elevate and adjust the screen in a comfortable typing or watching position. You can find various models on the market. However, there are two basic types: monitor risers and stands with one or several arms. The first type is a small table with a flat shelf that you can put a monitor or laptop on and store some items underneath. The second one is a pole that is attached to a table or base with one or more arms. The arms, in turn, are usually connected to the back of the screen via universal VESA brackets that are compatible with most of the modern plasma and LCD screens and flat TVs. As a rule, such design offers more flexible adjustments in vertical, side-to-side, tilt, and, sometimes rotational motions.

WALI Dual LCD
Arm Your Monitors
The WALI Dual LCD Monitor Stand is a reliable solution for 2 up to 27" monitors. It's made of quality materials and features a stable V-shaped base. Speaking of capacity, it can safely support the weight of 22 lbs monitors on each arm. However, it's unlikely that you'll be able to reach the maximum load because most of the 27" monitors usually weight 10-14 lbs. Still, we don't recommend mounting just 1 heavy monitor on one arm without some kind of the counterweight on the other side because the stand may become unstable and tip over that way. What's more, it also comes with a grommet base that can be used for attaching it to a table instead of V-base for a more secure grip via the hole in the table. In our opinion, this may come handy if you have a small desktop and just want to save more space for other stuff like a keyboard, mouse or a drawing tablet, and so on.
Quality-wise, this stand is great. The high-grade steel frame and V-base feel heavy and reliable. The plates for attaching to the back of the screens can be taken off from the stand for easy assembling: just screw them to the monitors first and then - to the mount. After that, you can adjust the monitor's position with each arm separately and can even rotate the monitors 360° to get the most convenient position. Finally, the stand comes with the hardware kit for assembling, including the screws for the monitors.
SONGMICS Bamboo Riser
The Songmics Bamboo Monitor Stand Riser is a fine piece of furniture that will look especially appropriate in almost any bedroom or in an oriental-styled office. The wood has warm texture and is pretty lightweight - only 5.2 lbs. Basically, it is composed of 3 bamboo boards - the tabletop and 2 wide legs. Note, the riser requires assembly out-of-the-box. Luckily, the screws are included in the package. The space between the legs is pretty wide making 21.8". Thus, you can store a keyboard or even a laptop there, when you are done working.
The key feature that sets it apart from many other wooden stands is its shelf with several slots where one can place accessories and office supplies such as a smartphone, pens, pencils, etc. The Songmics riser can be used not just for monitors, but for laptops as well. It can withstand up to 80 lbs of load. Therefore, it's an optimal solution for when you need a monitor riser to create more space for other stuff on your working table. And if you don't have a TV at home, you can place this riser on the coffee table to watch movies on your laptop at the comfortable viewing position.
Allsop Metal Art Jr.
Doctors advise that the computer monitor's top should be higher than the imaginary line of our sight. On the other hand, the monitor shouldn't be too low as well. Thus, if you are using a laptop at work or at home, we readily recommend this Allsop Metal Art Jr. Monitor Stand for several valid reasons. The main one is that it has a perforated top part. Owing to this, the laptop will have a better ventilation from below and won't get hot that fast. Still, if your notebook requires more active cooling, you might require the laptop cooling pads.
This monitor riser is conveniently large. The shelf is 14" x 9" in size, which is sufficient for supporting most of the screens and laptops. The maximum load, though, isn't too big and makes 40 lbs.
With regards to design peculiarities, the stand is set on two bent legs which don't take a lot of space on a table and also allow more air to pass under. Even if you placed Xbox One or PS4 under the stand, it wouldn't deteriorate ventilation. Alternatively, if you decide to use it for a computer monitor only, you can use the space underneath the shelf for storing a keyboard and a mouse there
This exquisitely-looking Fitueyes Computer Monitor Stand features a glass tabletop that is securely glued to its 4 legs, made of polished aluminum. Although its 0.25" thick glass is not shockproof, it can still withstand up to 33 lbs load. The glass surface is 23.6" x 11", making it optimal not only for monitors but also for large-size laptops. The stand legs are adjustable, so you can raise the monitor for up to 4.7" for a more comfortable viewing height. It also has rubberized feet. Thus, the stand won't slide on a table, guaranteeing that your monitor won't fall down. Speaking of safety features, the glass edges are rounded and polished. What's more, even if the stand is somehow tipped over and falls to the hard floor, the tempered glass will crack into safer granular chunks rather than break into large sharp shards.
The width between the legs is almost 20" long, allowing you to place some books, a gaming console or a Blu-ray player under the shelf. Overall, it has a very neat modern design. We think, this monitor riser can look equally great both in a dining room and business office, as it undoubtedly gives a fine touch to the room style and makes it look brighter.
Reliable 2-Way Fix
As you might have already noticed, the VIVO Dual Monitor Desk Mount Stand is designed to hold 2 monitors at once. You can adjust each arm with a monitor just the way you want it - farther or closer to you, left or right, tilt, and even rotate them at 360°. In our opinion, it's an ideal choice for programmers, designers or architects because they can change the code or some parameters on one screen and instantly check the results on the other one. This stand doesn't have a base plate to put on a table but comes with 2 clamps for attaching to it. The first one is a C-clamp, the second is a grommet base that goes through the hole in the table. We'd also like to mention that in both cases, your table might get scratched or keep marks from the holding plates. Therefore, we recommend placing soft pads or cloth pieces between them and the table.
It's worth mentioning that the frame features small clips for cables to get the wires out of sight. Sometimes, the monitors may have a slightly different height after the mounting. However, the special VESA plates here can move up and down withing 1" range to even them out. The bottom line, this is a great solution for anyone who requires a reliable, balanced monitor stand that can be securely attached to the working table.
