Definitely worth every penny! Connected it to my MacBook Pro with Touchbar and am getting flawless 60fps performance on games such as Forza Motorsport 7 at Ultra under retina resolution and Ultrawide 1080P resolution.

The Nvidia 1080 is an excellent graphics card and brings 4k and VR gaming to the average consumer.
Amazing performance from this card so far. My only issue is that one of the fans was stuck due to the X frame and the wire was touching the same fan.
I live-stream and play a lot of video games and this card handles it extremely well and my computer does not get hot even when running AAA games on High settings.
Guaranteed Satisfaction. I upgraded to this gpu from an ASUS GTX950-2G, which is also a great video card, and the difference in performance is beyond words.
In really intense gaming scenes especially long ones like a 15, to 20 min boss fight it runs a little hot 80c+ non oc but messing with the oc controls that can be remedied.

Fast, easy to install, not terribly loud, good controls over fan and lights in the software, good overlocking software
Great LEDs (although one LED light is out/dimmer)
The other issue is the coil whine. Maybe it's just the nature of the beast, but the occasional whine gets a little annoying sometimes.
Clocks higher than advertised easily. like all 1070s
The loudest coil whine I have ever had on a card. My bro has a MSI version of this card and there is no coil whine. It's very loud on this card
Did not come with anything but the card and driver disk. Not that I needed them, but would some cables or Install instructions been too much?

Lighting is a nice touch but can be difficult to sync with other peripherals.
I'm driving three 27" 1920x1080p monitors via Nvidia's 3D Surround technology and I still get amazing frame rates in all the games I play. This card replaced two GTX970's running in SLI.
The GeForce 1080 GTX is based on pascal technology which means, in laymen terms, it's ALOT FASTER than anything else on the market at the price point.
Lackluster lighting options; lights on card also look pretty dim.

My laptop didn't have thunderbolt enabled but it did support it. Had to do a bios update then install the TB3 drivers. After that I connected the eGPU and everything worked.
If you are using an XPS, the first plug-in attempt will result in the book telling you the card isn't supported. Try to connect again and the card will work.
Works perfectly on Dell XPS 15, with a score of 8.7 on Steam VR; the USB ports on the back don't seem to work reliably if you connect more than 1. Have connected the mini-display port to the TV from the AORUS. The led lights are pretty cool as well.
One note for everyone out there you will need two 8-pin power connections on your PSU to get this one to run. I had an 4x4 and a 6 pin on the PSU I ordered for my last build 5 years ago, so I had to go get a new PSU since I didn't have a 6 to 8 pin adapter.
Most of the time it does not connect, but when it does it works great as intended. Only reason for 2 stars is the headache caused when I bring this to a LAN and have to spend an hour and a half getting it to connect.

Easy to use clock to 2038 MHz no software needed.
IT IS AMAZING! It's connected to a Samsung 65" 4k TV. I play StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft and FPS at 60hz is well into the 100's with high graphics settings.
This is connected to 1440p/144hz/G-Sync and 4k/60hz/10bit displays. I did the usual benches with GTA V, WItcher 3, ROTTR, Mordor, and yes even Batman AK.
Only thing wrong is the installation cd came in way blank. Literally nothing on it.
DVI-D connection will not connect to my monitor. HDMI works fine for connection to tv however I get no signal from the DVI-D.
