This is my first Lew's reel after many years of using another brand & I have to say that I am NOT disappointed! I caught an 8 lb bass on this reel without any trouble at all!
This reel has a "reel" strong retrieve & is pretty solid at casting.
Excellent reel. Great price.
This reel is operates smoothly and is a good price.
I prefer the slightly cheaper black lews reels, the ones that run about $100. This guy can be fairly tempermental on backlashing.

This reel is an absolute dream to cast. Feels great and so smooth.
I love this reel it is very smooth, consistent and very sensitive you have to keep your thumb on the spool when casting it is so sensitive this is personally one of my most favorite reels.
This is a very great reel if your thinking about getting you should. It is super smooth to reel and the braking and drag are amazing to.

It works well, but the curado is better.
Smooth and perfect reel. Will definitely buy another one soon.
I own several Shimano casting and spinning reels, in my opinion this reel is a great starter casting reel although the Curado, to me, it a much better value and will last a lifetime if maintained.
Works great in saltwater.

Great reel super smooth casting just make sure you get the braking system right.
After upgrading the spool bearings with Boca bearings, it's phenomenal. It takes less effort to cast the same distance, maybe even 20 yards further.
I have a very old Citica and it still works great, still casts a mile.
Price is to high, cast well I have used the for years. I have 6 when they start to freeze up, I throw them away. Used in saltwater.
urchased three approx 18 months ago. There are centrifugal adjustments, a magnetic and usual casting brake.
