General Specifications
About the Product
Quite simply the Ninja reels are staggeringly good. Their highly noticeable look is of course backed up with an array of features and typical Daiwa performance. Their graphite body combined with Air Rotor not only starts the design off with a weight saving benefit but the enhanced rotor shape adds to the reels performance under load. Front drag orientated they are perfect for use even with braid. Winding smoothness is enhanced with 4BB and Infinite Anti-Reverse.
NASCI is an exciting, new powerful spinning reel with unparalleled gear durability at its price point. Incorporating upgraded drag, X-Ship and HGN Gearing, and available in sizes from 1000 through 5000, it is a great choice for everything from light freshwater to medium saltwater applications.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
Daiwa Ninja 4000A Allround Spinning Fishing Reel Front Drag
  • The front drag as with all other daiwa reels, excellent contruction.
  • Line lay as good as other more expensive reels.
  • The reel is smooth running with a spare reel which will take heavier line.
  • Cracking reel, ultra smooth, 2 metal spools and immaculate line lay.
  • Used for my pellet waggler rod, great casting and real smooth.
Shimano NASCI (NAS4000XGFB) Compact Spinning Reel
  • The reel is very smooth with a feel of tightness found in reels that cost twice as much.
  • I have it spooled with 17 lb test nano fil on a Med / Hvy spinning rod rated for 1/4 - 1 oz lures. Casts amazingly well and I had zero line issue.
  • So far these reels seem to be a great bang for the buck. Smooth and a nice drag.
  • Super smooth drag that handles big reds and snook flawlessly. Paired it with a Gander Mountain Tournmanet mediam-heavy rod.
  • Smooth action, excellent drag.

Daiwa Ninja 4000A Allround Spinning Fishing Reel Front Drag
  • Perfect for lure fishing.
  • Handled with ease and totally effortless.
  • I purchased this reel with the "Ninja Feeder Rod" and the two go perfectly together.
  • Loaded it with 26lb b.s Diawa J Braid for light to medium lure/jig fishing. Beautiful front drag, virtually nothing to fault.
Shimano NASCI (NAS4000XGFB) Compact Spinning Reel
  • What I liked most is the smooth action, super strong and smooth drag! This reel is light and compact but able to handle larger fish in saltwater.
  • As always, Shimano reels are great! Very smooth and balanced.
  • Light, responsive. I really like the way the drag is easy to set.
  • There is a serious problem with the geometry of this this reel.

What customers say about "Features"
Daiwa Ninja 4000A Allround Spinning Fishing Reel Front Drag
  • Price very reasonable and and performance wise better than some of the more expensive reels.
  • This reel is comfortable in a float or feeder situation and I have caught fish up to ten pounds which was handled easily by this rod and reel combination.
  • Super reels and brilliant value for money, would recommend to anyone in the market for a new reel to check these out.
  • For a budget of £100 this spin/float/match combo is highly reccomend, easy use, smooth, and will not let you down wether bankside, boat, or kayak!
Shimano NASCI (NAS4000XGFB) Compact Spinning Reel
  • The reel was used every day in saltwater for a week and it cleaned up very well ,so I guess the protective coating advertised works.
  • Tip of reel crank handle is texturized, thick, flat, T-shaped with rounded top. This allows for a very strong grip when placed in the palm between ring finger & middle finger.
  • Great value for money, strong enough drag to fish inshore and offshore. Smooth operation, and great a fast line retrieve.
  • All I use is Shimano spinning reels and this one is just as good as my stradic for less. I would recommend to anyone, very smooth drag and action.
  • Anti-reverse feature is permanent with no switch to manually reverse retrieve.
