The leather with my shorts was very slippery, however I did not feel like I was sliding off, it actually made it easier to adjust my position without picking up my weight while riding.
This saddle is nice and firm, the leather is good quality, the shape is perfect for support, yet narrow in the front to allow for movement even while in the drops.
The gel, the design, the cut-out, the perforated leather so you don't slip/slide - whatever it is that Selle Italia does is downright magic.
It's a fairly streamlined road-style saddle - more cushy than a racing saddle, but definitely not a thickly-padded cruiser, either.
Also, the stitching in the leather cutout area toward the rear is problematic. You feel the seam.

The pressure was gone, the seat was supple and cushioned, and required no time at all to break it in. Well worth the money.
They are comfortable on rides over 100 miles as well as short races. I just bought a new Terry Butterfly Ti saddle for my new road bike. Comfortable and long lasting.
The longer I ride on this saddle, the more I like it. It really reduces soft tissue soreness.
This is the most comfortable style and the most comfortable seat I have owned.
This is a wonderful saddle and I loved it for 2 rides of 20 miles each.

One of the items I was not 100% sure I liked is the gel padding for the sit bones.
The Gel in the seat and the cut out really make this seat so comfortable.
This seat got rid of the problem, and she likes the comfort of the gel.
The seat design flexes a bit with your ride and it works to provide the right balance of support and comfort.
Everything from detailed stitching to the channel cutout which is nicely padded and has some give to relieve pressure on the that sensitive part of the body is well thought out.

This is my fourth Butterfly saddle in 18 years and it's on my road and mountain bike. The gel is a nice touch for the road bike. My tush is cush!
The Butterfly Ti Gel has a smooth silky un-seamed cover that makes a big difference. It cost twice as much as my previous seat, but well worth the money.
The Terry Women's Butterfly Ti Gel + is remarkably supportive and comfortable for this avid cyclist in her 70's.
It's so comfortable! Just enough padding for longer rides, not too much so you can't feel the road. And the shape fits me.
