About the Product

The handsome Swift was the youngest gentleman's racing saddle in the Brooks range. It features delicately hand skived lower sides, where a thin stripe of the leather top surface is cut back, thus exposing the lighter coloured suede beneath which makes for an attractive visual accent and greater comfort when pedalling.

The B17 is our flagship model, ideal for long distance sports touring, trekking and mountain bike use. It has been on the market for over 100 years, being featured in as early as the 1898 catalog .

Brooks Swift Bicycle Saddle

The smoothness of the Brooks leather saddle completely eliminates the squeaks.
This saddle started off very comfortable from the very beginning and only get better.
Once I actually sat on it I was amazed at the comfort level. It's amazing compared to the miserable plastic pivotal seats I'm used to.
The brooks was double century comfortable for me, so good I honestly never thought much about it.
This is super comfy, and very light, compared to B17 that I've owned before. The swift have a slightly narrower profile, and it looks more slick and aerodynamic compared to the B17.

I rode 60 miles on the first day and it was comfortable as expected. It's only going to get better with each ride.
I can feel it flex underneath me and provide some amount of cushion from the road, but not so much that it feels too squishy or robs me of pedaling energy.
Second B17 after the first bike and saddle were stolen, super comfortable for me, long touring rides, gets better with age
Once I hit about 300 miles, it was magic! I've now got about 2000 miles on it now, and I'll never ever run any other seat again. It is simply amazing, 70 mile rides are nothing!
Excellent, easily the most comfortable bike seat I've ever owned. Started good and is only getting better as it breaks in.

Brooks Swift Bicycle Saddle

I always ride with padded cycling shorts and although this Brooks model has a narrow profile, there is sufficient width to adequately support my sit bones.
It's really beautiful with its tan leather and copper rivets. I terms of comfort well in its brand new condition the leather is really hard and rigid.
After trying out quite a few saddles including other Brooks saddles this one is the best in comfort and durability. Over 1500 miles and no complaints it's almost like nothing is there.

This is the most comfortable saddle I've ever ridden on. The extra expense and weight is well worth it. Great support for my middle aged sit bones.

I have always heard these saddles were the most comfortable so I took the risk and IT WAS THE GREATEST CHOICE OF MY LIFE!
My first ride was 4 miles of pure comfort, and each subsequent one has gotten longer and are equally comfortable.
Don't let the fact that it is hard as rock out of the box fool you, it really is a superb seat!
But let me tell you I am a 5'2" female weighing in about 125 measley pounds and it only took 4 rides (roughly 50 miles) before it started feeling cushy!!
The saddle is better and more comfortable than I expected. It's important to buy a cover if you're going to be in you're going to be in wet conditions.
