General Specifications
About the Product
The Synthe™ is the pinnacle of road helmet design, combining the performance gains of an aerodynamic profile and light weight with great cooling power to enhance rider comfort and efficiency in road rides and races. The compact form slips through the air with ease across multiple yaw and head angles, and offers greater cooling power than the Aeon.™
You wanted a lighter helmet, a cooler helmet, a better helmet—so we created one. Starting with a full roster of our best features, we optimized every component in the Aeon™ including the shape of the helmet itself, reducing weight by 28 percent compared with its predecessor.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
Giro Synthe Helmet, Matte Black, Medium
  • Really happy with this helmet. Bought it for the weight and looks (as in it's a fairly normal looking bike helmet, not hardcore aero or race looking). Overall, the helmet is light enough that it's possible to forget you're wearing it and surprising very comfortable considering the minimal padding.
  • I am 59ish and medium fits perfect but almost no room for a hat or liner when cold.
  • Feels like a top end product i had an accident in this helmet and it saved me from serious head injury
  • Looks fantastic, really light weight, very comfortable and my head remained cool even on tough 100 mile route recently.
  • Feels like a top end product i had an accident in this helmet and it saved me from serious head injury
Giro Aeon Helmet
  • The fit and finish are first class and it is very light yet sturdy.
  • It's very light, but sturdy and the occipital lock keeps it in place.
  • The molding is high quality and super lightweight! Even after hours of biking, you can hardly tell that its on, which is what you really want in a comfortable helmet.
  • The inside has EPS sweat absorbing liners, which are removable so they can be washed between rides.
  • This helmet is lightweight, has excellent ventailation, looks slick, and extremely comfortable.

What customers say about "Features"
Giro Synthe Helmet, Matte Black, Medium
  • Very Light and fits great. Great quality.
  • Love it, great helmet and fits my small head perfect!
  • Love the design but you'd expect a little better quality for this steep price. The straps feel really cheap too. In the end, it's very light and aero.
  • Light, comfortable, easily adjustable and good looking.
  • While it is super light, breaths very well and stays put it is pretty minimal for padding.
Giro Aeon Helmet
  • The ventilation is unreal on this helmet, at least in my experience.
  • Wearing it for a couple of rides I find the wind easily brushes over you head through the helmet's many generous gaps.
  • It was comfortable and it also felt cool to wear both literally and figuratively.
  • The RocLoc 5 system is a vast improvement over the older systems. It lets you micro dial-in the tension adjustments.
  • Hitting downhill speed at 45mph and tucked, I noticed the airflow channeling effectively.
