What customers say about "Key Specs"
Cygolite Metro 360 USB Bicycle Headlight
  • The Metro 360 is a very, very bright light. Since I typically ride where there are street lights, I find the medium setting to be totally adequate for most of my uses.
  • There is a steadypulse, which is about the brigthness of medium, with a subtle pulse to it - makes it easy to be noticed.
  • I find the beam pattern quite appropriate for bicycle mounting - it's wide enough to cover a reasonable chunk of the road ahead when mounted on the handlebars.
  • The Daylightning strobe mode is very aggressive, and will make you stand out in broad daylight.
  • The full brightness mode is really overkill if you have any ambient light, and I save it for completely unlit areas to conserve battery power.
Cygolite Metro 500 USB Rechargeable Bike Light
  • I am now able to bike at the same speed that I'd bike during daylight because of how much I can see with this light.
  • This is a very, very good and bright light.
  • It is very bright and I have no problems seeing what's in front of me.
  • I use SteadyPulse(tm) most of the time as it keeps the light on high and flashes every second or so to make yourself more visible to oncoming cars.
  • Lots of different modes for just about any situation that you need. The headlight does an awesome job at illuminating your path.

What customers say about "Features"
Cygolite Metro 360 USB Bicycle Headlight
  • The mounting bracket is simple and effective. The thumb screw tightens and you can latch it in place.
  • The mount is super-strong - A problem I had with so many other lights is that the mount kept coming loose, and had to be adjusted all the time.
  • USB charging is actually about as handy as carrying extra batteries, although I keep an extra light in those rare instances when I run low.
  • The light is well made and the mounting bracket is pretty flexible for different styles of handlebars.
  • The Cygolite Metro is rechargeable via USB and seems to hold the charge for a long time.
Cygolite Metro 500 USB Rechargeable Bike Light
  • Built like a tank and I like the clamp. Easy to slide the light on, or take off for charging.
  • Got caught in a downpour and everything got soaked. Light stayed dry and working (blinky mode) the entire time.
  • The low battery indicator, return to previous setting switch and various light settings are all useful.
  • The mount is excellent and super tight and sturdy, no shakes or rattles.
  • Even the handlebar mount is very high quality. The mount seems to be designed for smaller diameter handlebars, but it does also work on larger (32mm) bars.

What customers say about "Power"
Cygolite Metro 360 USB Bicycle Headlight
  • I often use the safety blinker ("Daylightning") mode. The battery lasts seemingly forever using this mode
  • I've never had this thing run out of power during use yet; I just recharge it when I remember to, and it's always good to go.
  • Battery life is long enough for me to not be bothered by it.
  • I would say I get about 6-8 commutes out of a single charge (25 mins).
  • I use it 2-3 times a day for about 20 minutes each time and go longer than a wek without charging.
Cygolite Metro 500 USB Rechargeable Bike Light
  • I have gone 2 weeks without charging it (3 riding hours) and it worked flawlessly.
  • I have an earlier model by the same maker that uses the AAA's. This is a significant design improvement in almost every way.
  • Battery life seems to be very good. I still have yet to run out of battery so I will report back when I find out how much life you get out of each charge.
  • No degradation in battery life after 3 years of light use.
  • Quality, durability, battery life, size and brightness are all top notch.
