The best cable for quickly charging modern gadgets and transferring data at up to 5 Gbps. It's long enough at 6.6 ft to reach across the room so you can stretch on the couch with your phone while it's being charged from your laptop. Speedy File Transfers with Extra Secure Connection

Slowly transitioning all of your electronic gadgets from older models to new USB-C-using ones will be less taxing on your wallet while still allowing you to keep up with the progress. However, linking your outdated PC to your cutting-edge Google Pixel may be an issue if you don’t have the proper cord. That’s why you need the JSAUX JSTYC3001GREY2, a USB-A to USB-C cable that will let you connect gadgets from different generations securely.

The connectors on this model aren’t just made of 24K gold-plated metal, they’re also outfitted with a built-in 56kΩ pull-up resistor that prevents interference and protects phones from power surges. A cord without this feature may actually fry your HTC if you’re using it when an electricity outage occurs. While we did find the connectors a bit tough to plug in during the first couple of uses, the problem disappeared in just a few days and it was smooth sailing afterwards.

In addition to a reliable connection, the JSAUX JSTYC3001GREY2 is a USB-C fast charge cable, meaning you can boost your battery level in a matter of minutes. And if you think that’s speedy, just wait until you see your data being transferred at a lightning-fast 5 Gbps, moving large files in a couple of seconds.

CHOETECH CHOE-CH0018

Stream Media in Highest Resolution

Streaming video and audio from your high-tech laptop to your TV can be easy when you have a Smart TV model. However, if you’re working with an older television set or have to do a presentation at work, you’ll have to find a USB C to HDMI cable to link devices. And you’re in luck because you’ve stumbled onto the CHOETECH CHOE-CH0018, a cord that’s perfect for video transmission.

The CHOETECH cable supports 4k Ultra HD resolutions at 30 Hz, guaranteeing a crystal clear picture with no blurring or visual glitches. Plus, the cord has interference protection to prevent loss of signal so your presentations won’t ever be interrupted.

A key part of any cable, the connectors on this model are made out of 24K gold-plated metal, which provides more stability and is overall more durable than basic aluminum. However, we can’t give the same praise to the PVC jacket as it’s not as sturdy and damage-resistant as a nylon-braided one. Another flaw is that you can’t use your Samsung Galaxy phone or, for that matter, any USB-C smartphone to connect to a display via this cord, which limits your possibilities.

All in all, while the CHOETECH CHOE-CH0018 certainly has some room for improvement, it’s a great choice for workers that often need to conduct presentations from their laptop. It’s also long enough at 5.9 ft to hook up your big TV to the computer and stream video in 4k Ultra HD.

Metrans C-LN-3FT-SG

Perfect USB-C Cable for Apple Users

Millions of users all over the world are loving the high-tech and sleek iPhone and MacBooks but their unique ports have been a point of contention for some. Today you’re in luck, though, because the Metrans C-LN-3FT-SG cable will let you connect any gadget to the Apple devices.

This USB C to Lightning cable is constructed with high-performance copper wires, covered in insulation. That way, your connection is sure to be stable and the file transfer speed will always be as high as possible. We are a bit disappointed that the cord offers a maximum of just 480 Mbps but it’s still a respectable level, especially if you plan on simply transferring photos or other files from your phone to your laptop and vice versa. And, of course, you can use the cable to charge devices with 2.4 A of power.

The connectors on this cord are made of aluminum, not our top choice but still reliable and sturdy. Just make sure to take the case off of your phone before plugging the cord in as the plastic body of the connector is somewhat large and might not fit otherwise.

Looking at the above, you can see that the Metrans C-LN-3FT-SG certainly has its flaws but it still offers a steady connection. The 3.3 ft cable will be immensely useful for adepts of the Apple brand and, if used with care, serve for years.

WGGE 4328294089

Extra Strong Bidirectional Cord

If you’ve ever owned cables, whether for phone charging or audio/video transfers, you already know how easily some of them break, especially in the spot where the connector and cable are joined. And that is precisely why the WGGE 4328294089 has special metallic reinforcement in that spot to resist breaking. Of course, that’s also helped by the nylon braiding.

Featuring male to male USB-C connectors made of high-grade metal, the WGGE 4328294089 can be used equally well to transfer files between devices and to charge them, syphoning the battery level from the host to the receptacle. And the upload/download speed on this cord is pretty impressive at a stable 5 Gbps, which is perfect for reliably moving data between devices.

While we’re pretty happy with the WGGE cord overall, we do wish that the metal connectors were 24K gold-plated as that would boost signal stability and provide a more reliable connection. The actual metal connectors are pretty good but there’s always room to grow.

With all that said, the WGGE USB-C cable is a pretty solid and affordable choice. It’s long enough to use comfortably even if you have to stretch it from one side of the room to another, owing to the 6.6 ft length. If you’re tired of cables breaking on you, don’t miss the WGGE 4328294089, a steel-strong cord that’s just as reliable in terms of speed.

CableCreation CC0324

Never Lose Your Signal Again

Pretty much any modern home has a whole slew of electronic gadgets that need to be connected reliably and easily. However, with that many devices all active at the same time, electromagnetic interference is pretty much guaranteed. Luckily, you can use the CableCreation CC0324 to eliminate any EM noise and get a steady connection. It has built-in protection against interference that stops any outside signals in their tracks.

However, this male to female USB-C cord is reliable in more ways than one as its connectors are made with 24K gold-plated metal - an optimal material choice. It offers more stability and, more importantly, lasts longer than basic aluminum or copper connectors.

The CableCreation CC0324 is reasonably long at 3.3 ft, though we wouldn’t have minded another couple feet just to give the user an ability to connect their smartphone to the TV while sitting on the couch, for example. But the transfer speed, another key feature, is as high as it gets at 10 Gbps, which is perfect if you frequently work with large files.

Our only gripe is the fact that the cable is incompatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices and does seem to have minor issues when working with Nintendo Switch. Thankfully, the CableCreation CC0324 supports most other USB-C-using gadgets, which overshadows this little flaw.

Overall, it’s certainly a budget option and we wish that the jacket was a bit more reinforced but the signal stability and interference protection make the CableCreation CC0324 a worthy purchase.

What Is a USB-C Cable?

Anybody that’s ever worked with a regular USB cord knows the little annoyance of accidentally trying to plug it in the wrong side up. The USB C extension cable eliminates that issue and, thanks to a few other innovations, constitutes a pretty significant breakthrough in data transfers.

Made to be “futureproof”, the C-type cords have symmetrically-designed connectors so they are compatible with a variety of devices including but not limited to computers, smartphones, portable consoles, and many others. Plus, most devices that use these cables support the USB 3.1 standard. What that means for you is an increased file transfer speed of up to 10 Gbps, which is lightning-fast compared to earlier methods. Moreover, most of these cords are bidirectional, meaning you can charge your phone with your laptop or, if the need arises, charge your laptop with your smartphone, no matter whether it is an iPhone or an HTC model!

While we’re on the subject of reliable connectivity, why don't you take a look at the HDMI cables that will help you transfer audio and video? And the best pairing for a trusty USB C cable is an ultra HD laptop that you can connect your gadgets to.
