The Focal Pro Alpha65 6.5 Inch Active Studio Monitor is a single active monitor that is perfect for mixing any genre of music in the studio. The 6.5 inch woofer/midrange speaker has a Polyglass cone in a large laminar port and 1 inch aluminum inverted dome tweeter.

The CMS 50 is the most compact monitoring loudspeaker of all the Focal Professional range. Its design permits listening from 20" away, while still keeping the possibility of the monitors at a great distance from one another without damaging the soundstage.

Yes, this is a good studio speaker. I can hear all the details of voices on one of my home made music audio and video.
Anyone who is serious doing quality music video or audio should consider using this Alpha 50.
I have auditioned these extensively and A/B'd them against many other speakers in their price range at various music stores for months before I purchased a pair.
This speaker lacks power to fill the middle room with good sound.
I both 2 monitors. Both are so defective. One of them is not even sounding and the other sound really bad.

CMS 50's provide a level of musicality 'designed for the computer' speakers can't deliver.
Excellent made in France goodness here. Amazing made quality and pure sound.
I recommend them for any kind of music you record, mix or produce. Really a fantastic product.
So far so good! Clean, crisp, focused. Easy to mix on and fun to listen to.
After I bought pair of these speakers, one of them is not even sounding and the other sound really bad.

Also, they are POWERHOUSES. Big sounds come in small packages.
The low frequency is unmatched with any monitor in its size, and the high is perfectly sweet

These are large for 5" speakers, and might fit (with difficulty) on your desk, as is the case with me.

For those who are looking for a small monitor speaker, this is the one of best choices you could do!
For a speaker this size there are incredible accuracy and surprisingly good, tight, controlled bass.
Surprisingly, they sound as good much larger speakers - or possibly not like "speakers" at all.
I recommend these speakers as good set of small home monitors for a good price.
Larger to the relative average desktop computer speakers.

Superb. Sounds clear, lively, balanced, uncolored. I auditioned the Focal CMS line.
I needed something that would sound good at fairly low volume and these really seem to work well.
These are excellent, plain and simple. By far the cleanest and most pure sounding of their price range and even some above it.
They sound really, really good in an untreated room.
One of them is not even sounding and the other sound really bad. They don't care about the warranty.

I'm absolutely stunned at the amount of realistic bass these speakers deliver.
From the first moment, this little monster sounded like crazy.
Amazing sound. Highs were crispy, clear. Mids were strong. Bass's were tight.
Pretty flat frequency response across the spectrum, low coloration.
Incredibly detailed and articulate, both tonally and in terms of soundstage.

Make sure you have a good interface or console, and cables with these, or they sound not so good.

I was running these with and Apogee One and unbalanced cables, and these speakers were noisy, which was extremely annoying.

They have a really sweet full range tonality. Highly recommend to non-professional or professional use.
I also like that these are made from powder coated internally dampened and braced aluminum. I hate MDF, so these are awesome in that respect.
The delicate hi-hat work is clear but not overpowering - it's just right.
The building construction is solid and good design. The common room transform to the studio when you set this speakers around.
I get a great reliability in sound and the construction is robust and elegant.
