What customers say about "Key Specs"
Garmin GPSMAP 64s Worldwide with High-Sensitivity GPS and GLONASS Receiver
  • The new quad helix antenna allows you to get a very swift fix on your position by utilizing signals from not only GPS but also from the GLONASS satellite constellation.
  • No Cons to this unit. the 64st is perfect for what I needed a GPS to do and then some.
  • Picks up GPS and Glonass signals indoors and at half strength in a commercial airliner.
  • Love how quick it acquires signal.
  • I don't recommend the 64s model without topographic maps.
Garmin GPSMAP 64st TOPO U.S. 100K with High-Sensitivity GPS and GLONASS Receiver
  • This Garmin GPS is a more mature successor to the GPSMAP 60CSX, which I've owned for years.
  • I am extremely happy with this GPS unit. It is very accurate and the batteries last a long time.
  • It has a ton of features that are handy to use on the trail. I would recommend this GPS unit to anyone. Very good product.
  • Works Great. updates and sat acquisition very fast. topo is definitely a must. very easy to use and has lots of features my old GPS lacked.
  • The GPS seems to be a pretty good unit, however the small screen is a bit hard to see when you want an overall picture of the area. other than that it's not bad for the price

What customers say about "Map Features"
Garmin GPSMAP 64s Worldwide with High-Sensitivity GPS and GLONASS Receiver
  • There are some good things about the 64st. The built-in map is much more detailed than the one that comes with the 60CSx.
  • The updated maps are very nice and useful and I find it works great.
  • The birdseye and the topo maps are very helpful and easy to use and the basecamp program it all syncs up to on the computer works great.
  • I recently took it hiking through the mountains of Eastern Europe, and with it loaded with free maps from Open Street Maps I never once questioned my location.
  • Very dated interface, and map acquisition.
Garmin GPSMAP 64st TOPO U.S. 100K with High-Sensitivity GPS and GLONASS Receiver
  • I am a kayaker. I love the 64st! I use it with a Bluechart G2 card. The 100K TOPO basemap is perfect for identifying terrain from the water
  • This is my 4th Garmin GPS. I had a GPS 60. and two GPS 76's before this and the 64 is definitely an improvement. You can still use your old TOPO maps and tracks as well as download newer more detailed maps.
  • I really like to pre-loaded Topo maps! I'm old-school and appreciate the buttons rather than the touch screen
  • Has all the features of my old Garmin Legend plus the map feature which is really nice.
  • I tried to transfer my maps and they were locked. I did a bunch of phone calling and still had problems. So Love the product but HATE their policies on their maps.

What customers say about "Features"
Garmin GPSMAP 64s Worldwide with High-Sensitivity GPS and GLONASS Receiver
  • The battery lasted the entire 5 days and held up to the non-stop rain with no issues. Defently get one if you are a hiker!
  • Intuitive for the most part if you have owned a Garmin in the past and would be simple for a new user to get up and running fast.
  • This little gps took a serious beating that day. Despite the beating, it still functioned just fine.
  • Built-in Bluetooth connectivity also seemed interesting and possibly useful.
  • My GPS was about 2 years old and developed a problem with the screen.
Garmin GPSMAP 64st TOPO U.S. 100K with High-Sensitivity GPS and GLONASS Receiver
  • Great features, easy to operate, intuitive menu options. Reasonable battery life.
  • Overall, I am impressed with the amount of features available in a hand held GPS from Garmin today since I have been using a Garmin GPS 12XL for the last twenty years which still works like it did when I bought it and I still use it regularly in a marine application.
  • I had regular AA batteries in it on the first ATV ride I used it on and they lasted all day. It has a ton of features that are handy to use on the trail.
  • Also the buttons are similar to my old Garmin 72, which makes it nice too.
  • I chose this model based primarily on its size since space is at a premium. I have no complaints with unit itself, however reliable documentation is non-existent.
