What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Sony Alpha a7R Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • Size and weight are ideal. Solid but not heavy or bulky.
  • Small size and weight is a big pro
  • Size and Weight makes it one of the best travel cameras out there
  • The light weight and size make it easy to throw in a briefcase or camera bag
  • It's a little pricey, for sure, and it doesn't look as impressive as a big DSLR (clients might wonder why you don't have a "good" camera), but the light weight is its greatest feature
Sony Alpha a7II Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • Bought the Sony Alpha 7II full frame mirrorless as an upgrade for my Sony Nex 6. Still experimenting, but like the size and feel of this camera a lot. Larger and heavier than my Nex 6, but comfortable and smaller than DSLR's.
  • And the reduced size, weight, and price tag are a joy to both my shoulders and my wallet.
  • I am a Canon 5D Mark 3 shooter who bought this Sony a7ii as a lighter weight travel alternative.
  • Perfect for anyone looking for a mirrorless camera or light weight "compact" DSLR.
  • Learning curve but amazing pics. Lighter weight than my Canon .

What customers say about "Imaging"
Sony Alpha a7R Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • Eye Focus - a life saver for super fast glass in a portrait setting - and YES - it really works
  • Image Quality is amazing and tack sharp (depending on what lens you use of course)
  • Incredible resolution and low light performance
  • Image quality is off the charts when paired with quality glass
  • Autofocus isn't the fastest, so wedding/sports photography would be difficult IMHO. The A7 has a faster autofocus so if that's really important I would try it out
  • Even when shooting portraits of kids, autofocus and image capture feels slow to me compared with the 5d iii and I feel like I miss some shots
Sony Alpha a7II Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • Images are high quality and camera is easy and fun
  • Wonderful lightweight full frame. The images look professional when I am an amateur!
  • This will be my everyday camera. Well built, creates excellent quality images. And works great with vintage lenses with the right lens adapter.
  • The focus is extremely fast and image quality is superb.
  • A7 II is a great camera that is easy to use and has more settings for any situation. Images are beautifully caught and I'm impressed with how easy; the advances that sony has engineered have set higher standards in the camera world. Impressive!

What customers say about "Display"
Sony Alpha a7R Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • The articulating rear screen is very convenient for tripod work, and the EVF is exceptional
  • Screen is enough bright dor sunny days
  • On a speed plate, the LCD is hard to swing out ... and speaking of LCD - I miss the fully articulated screen on the A77 at times like overhead or ground level shots and especially for verticals
  • Wish it had a touch screen
  • No touch screen to navigate menus faster
Sony Alpha a7II Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • The A7 MK2 is full frame, compact, has a fab viewfinder & tilt screen. Such fun to shoot with!
  • The viewfinder is very sharp, with great color. The LCD back panel has a "retina" display look about it.
  • Features like built in wi-fi and OLED viewfinders to be able to preview my images before I shoot is amazing and makes for a higher number of useable shots.
  • Would be even better if it had a touch screen, built-in flash and longer lasting battery.
  • The viewfinder screen, which allows to to view at limited angles is good enough, but not as advanced as other cameras.

What customers say about "Features"
Sony Alpha a7R Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • EVF is astonishing. WYSIWYG and it really is WYG
  • Good 3rd party batteries are cheap and perform well, and they're small - easily fit 3+ in a pocket.
  • Very flexible controls (3 customization buttons).
  • Focus peaking makes focus stacking SO easy, even a caveman like me can do it.
  • Movie button is poorly placed (I have it shut off so it only works if mode dial is set to movie though - so again not a big problem)
  • The best SONY FE lenses lack image stabilization, which makes handheld shooting difficul
Sony Alpha a7II Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • This is a great camera, it has many features and is easy to use.
  • It has great features and is exactly what I desired for wildlife pictures.
  • It has every feature I could want. Full frame.small.stabilization for any lens ever by any maker.
  • This is more than just an extra camera to have to take pics with. This is great technology with all of the new features.
  • The color is brilliant, the auto focus is spot on and the fast continuous shooting mode is great for sports and wildlife photography.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Sony Alpha a7R Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • A (finally) standard hot shoe means lighting possibilities are VASTLY improved over previous Sony offerings. Strobes, speed lights and bare bulb - old or new - they're all usable again - YAY
  • The built in wifi is great as I now can load the photos in my iPhone anytime after the shooting
  • The only thing I am missing is GPS.
Sony Alpha a7II Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only
  • Great feature built in wifi dso u can send photos right away.
  • Built in WiFi makes it easy to share images straight out of the camera to your phone for easy sharing to social media sites.
  • Wifi connect to phone is pretty cool. Don't need a remote control and you can even see the picture on your phone to make sure it's all aligned.
  • It is Wi-Fi capable - I’m not too happy with how this was implemented (or maybe I’m just using it wrong) I expected the camera to show up as another node on my network.
