What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Sony Alpha a7 Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens
  • This camera is ergonomically great! Being able to reach all of the dials for shutter speed/aperture/whatever you program them for without taking your hand off the grip is hugely appreciated.
  • lim and light weight, better image processing than older cameras.
  • This is a great light weight camera that packs a punch.
  • It's a light weight full frame camera with direct controls. It takes beautiful pictures and I have it matched with the Sony 55mm 1.8 FE lens.
  • While the camera itself is light, the first party lenses are typically about the same weight as the body itself! I wouldn't be surprised if my zoom lenses start developing creep from how far they pull the body down while I'm carrying it.
Sony Alpha a7R II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
  • Worth the money! Size feels better then the A7 series!
  • Love this camera! Size, weight, sturdiness and picture quality are perfect. I highly recommend it!
  • The 4k feature works really well, one of my favorite. Convenient size to carry.
  • Amazing camera. Great size.
  • I love how small and light weight this full frame camera is!! So easy to carry everywhere.

What customers say about "Imaging"
Sony Alpha a7 Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens
  • Great image quality, the lens ecosystem is wide open (I've been shooting with a lot of old Minolta glass), very small and light body.
  • The flexibility of a full frame image sensor and share image quality you get in such a small camera body is really fantastic.
  • The kit lens is very good, but I dumped it for the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 and the image quality is outstanding. Highly recommend this camera.
  • Image quality is superb as usual and it all depends on the lens you use with it.
  • Great image quality. The focus is more accurate than most DSLR's I've owned including the d800 and 5D MK3. The high end DSLRs do seem to focus faster though at least than the kit lens I have with my A7.
  • AF is still sluggish compared to high end DSLR.
Sony Alpha a7R II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
  • This is a pro level camera that is small, full of features, amazing image quality, would highly recommend.
  • Superb resolution & sharp images. Well suited to producing large prints. Camera well suited to advanced users.
  • Love this camera, it’s light and very sharp image, one thing just the life of the battery that suck..
  • In a camera full of features, the image stabilization and low light performance really stand out.
  • Such a great camera! Amazing image quality, fast focusing, great in low light. Give it an extra SD card slot and it's be unstoppable!

What customers say about "Display"
Sony Alpha a7 Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens
  • The adjustable screen allowed me to shoot near the ground without having to lay down.
  • The A7 is full frame, compact, has a fab viewfinder & tilt screen.
  • Great EVF. The eye detection works great. It will turn off the screen and turn on the EVF when you put your face up on it.
  • I love the tilt screen. It makes composing easier especially for low angle shots.
  • No touch screen. Don't understand this decision. I want a touch screen because it makes videos a whole lot easier.
Sony Alpha a7R II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
  • The screen is plenty large, bright and sharp.
  • The new viewfinder more improved then you can initially tell. When turning a polarizer, for instance, I can see the change in sky much better. The screen is sharper, bigger, and very high resolution.
  • There are a couple ways to compose images with the A7R II. Either the screen on the back of the camera with LiveView or via the Electronic View Finder (EVF) that's really a godsend.
  • Good button customization and screen info customization.
  • No touch screen, something that would be great for pulling focus during video.

What customers say about "Features"
Sony Alpha a7 Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens
  • The electronic viewfinder is a great feature; the ability to use a level, focus peaking, grids, zebra stripes etc while looking through the viewfinder is invaluable, especially if you're shooting manual focus.
  • A beautiful electronic viewfinder and under most conditions make you forget you are not using an optical viewfinder.
  • Very helpful focus aid for manual focus shooters (peaking and magnification).
  • The battery life is also pretty bad, as a result of Sony trying to keep the battery consistent across A-series bodies. I'd say you probably have 300-400 shots on a charge.
  • Paucity of full frame E lenses and lenses are very expensive.
  • Lack accessories to support studio shooting (ie. wireless flash controller).
  • Battery life is short. Buy extra batteries and external charger!
Sony Alpha a7R II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
  • The features are great and easy to use. I love it and the images that I have shot with it so far.... They get better and better with each shoot.
  • This camera has all of the DSLR features with additional bells and whistles. Pictures came out sharp with vibrant colors. I used Panorama feature quite often.
  • It has great features and tech inside this small body.
  • Great features, excellent picture quality. Would recommend for all photography needs.
  • In a camera full of features, the image stabilization and low light performance really stand out.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Sony Alpha a7 Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Camera with 28-70mm Lens
  • Short flange focal distance means almost all vantage manual focus lenses can be adopted.
  • Good WIFI implementation and connectivity to the web and smartphones. A well thought-out strategy for social media/sharing.
  • I'm also very pleased with the lower noise, better low light performance and truer colors. If you want bells & whistles, there's WiFi & NFC connectivity.
  • NFC is convenient to quickly sling photos to your Android devices. Apple devices uses wifi which is also fast but a little less convenient.
  • The A7 comes with built in wifi and you can download apps for the iphone, iPad and Android platforms to take advantage of this. You can easily transfer photos from the A7 to your phone or tablet and also use your phone or tablet as a remote to take pictures.
Sony Alpha a7R II Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
  • A great option that I like about A7RII is wifi, I can transfer pictures to iPhone instantly anywhere.
  • Wifi capabilities to transfer images straight to web, Ironic because with such a high quality camera all i've done so far is upload images to Facebook and instagram...
  • I love this camera. It does so much so well. Wifi, special apps that allow for real time HDR, water smoothing, etc.
  • Third, the wifi connection to my iphone is still disappointing. Especially in video mode, the picture goes from nice and smooth to slow/choppy.
  • Speaking of the side ports they once again feel cheap vs the metal original doors i preferred, however sony has added a cable accessory that is suppose to keep the cables plugged in.
