About the Product

The 110 Folding Hunter® is a classic and traditional favorite! Buck's Folding Hunter was created in 1963 when Al Buck decided that a revolutionary locking blade knife was needed by outdoorsmen who wanted a sturdy knife but did not want to carry a long, fixed blade knife.

It all began with the 110 Folding Hunter. The 110 could be found on a lot of sailor's belts in the Navy. One day, a couple of soldiers got into a fight and the 110 Folding Hunter was used. As a result, the captain issued a decree that knives carried could not have a blade length of a certain size. The 110 ended up being too long, so Buck Knives took the initiative and created the Ranger, a smaller version of the 110. The 112 is another traditional favorite.

For a folding knife it is very sturdy, the blade is strong and firm.
This is my first Buck folder that I'm also putting to the test and so far I've not been disappointed.
The blade was super sharp out of the box and is still as sharp after all the abuse I put it through.
The blade is flawless and contoured with its distinct shape and razor-sharp beveled edge.
The blade is nice and sharp out of the box and I will be happy to test it out without needing to sharpen the blade.

Still holds an edge for months between sharpening with a diamond stick.
The grip is just perfect for my hand and the locking mechanism is very very sturdy.
I can't think of a better "welcoming" gift than this Buck knife. They are incredibly well made, durable and one of the hardest working knives I have ever owned. I wouldn't buy anything else.
Purchased this classic 112 in 1974 prior to a research expedition to Cape Crozier, Antarctica. Served me faithfully among the Adeiie penguins and halted a slide down a glacier into the Ross Sea; couldn't ask for more.
I've worn this knife around my belt and I've got to tell you this knife does exactly what I want it for, a good EDC that retains a quality edge. Beautiful and rugged.

The knife feels heavy yet balanced in the hand, yet its weight is just right for the job it was intended for (a hunting knife).

Nice weight, perfect size, great blade, best knife out there
Great feel in my hand. This came with a leather belt sheath, but I prefer to carry in my pocket. This knife is the perfect size and weight for everyday use, camping, etc.
Every day carry. Great knife a little heavy but thats my fault.
I think this is the perfect size for cleaning deer here in the south.
Pocket knives are OK but a belt knife is usually bigger and handier.

Overall these are beautiful knives at a very reasonable cost.
In addition, the quality of the handle materials, fit and finish is over and above what you would expect to get from a knife with this price tag.
The handle itself is made of attractive hardwood adorned with slightly raised rounded brass pins. The bolster and pommel are also brass.
It's very comfortable to hold, the brass at both ends of the handle is polished to a mirror shine and treated with an invisible coat of high-tech lacquer so the brass will never tarnish.
Some have said that the pins in the handles can be a little proud, but this is a self resolving problem if you use this knife.

Got this for my dad on Father's Day so far works great and the engraving looks amazing.
Liked it so much I just bought one as a gift for a friend and she loves it. She sent me a picture and it is beautiful!
I just ordered my nephew one custom engraved. Great knifes greater company!
If it weren't for some nicks in the handle I would have sworn they sent me a new knife
Great quality, good looking, timeless. It is my go to knife.
