- These are very comfortable, I normal game Friday and Saturday nights for about 5-7 hours. I can't even tell these are on, the ear piece is soft and fits me perfectly.
- The 7.1 surround sound is awesome, I love it! With my cheap headset I couldn't tell exactly what direction the sound was coming from......now I can.
- 7.1 Surround when plugged into a PC with USB.
- 7.1 Surround can sometimes ruin voices when in game as some voices are backround.
- Not too light, but still great.
- No surround sound on PlayStation and Xbox even when plugged in with USB (Drivers needed).
- I wear the headset for several hours at a time and find it to be very comfortable on the head and ears.
- The Arctis 7 audio is excellent during web conferences as is the mic. When hearing recordings of trainings I've produced, my voice is full and clear with no fuzz or background noise.
- Arctis 7 works great for Nintendo Switch. I've used the headset wired with switch on airplane, and all good. I
- The build quality of the Arctis 7 is AMAZING. They fit very snug and are comfortable.
- Dedicated sound chip. These install with their own sound board. If you have an after market high end sound card these will bypass its sound chip.
- A real pain to set up, not plug n' play

- The mic quality is decent. It certainly isn't going to win any accolades, but it works. The best part about it is that it retracts into the ear cup.
- The retractable mic is a great design idea. It is featured on all versions of the headset. The mic easily pulls out or pushes in when not being used, and can be used in both the in or out positions.
- The end of the mic illuminates red when muted as well.
- Mic Quality: The voice is a tiny bit quiet, but it's nothing to fuss about at all. Overall it gets the job done perfectly fine as far as a gamer would be concerned.
- ic itself is not flexible enough
- The microphone is way better than the 800's (Important to me as I use these headphones to make calls for work from my PC)
- Retracting mic that goes back into headset (protects the mic)
- I really like the retractable microphone which stays out of the way when not in use.
- Mic is the clearest I've had but, like others have said, at times has to be a bit close to your mouth to where I move it when I eat. I don't mind but some might.

- I like the volume control on the left ear piece. Also the game/voice adapter on the cord is perfect for when you want to hear more of the game vs the people you are talking to.
- The Arctis 5 features RGB lighting that can be customized in various ways, both left and right sides separately, or both together.
- Ear cups are comfortable. Not the most comfortable ever, but they're definitely nothing to complain about. I wear them for multiple hours at a time without a problem.
- The headphones come with a very simple program (downloaded for free online) that allows customization of the RGB lighting, sound EQ, and mic side tone. You can save combination presets as well.
- This headset had really unpleasant sound un-balance. The base and most background sound sounded fine, but the vocal sound is critically one sided.
- Awesome chat headset. But the 5 and 7 haven't worked properly on macOS since the release of 10.13, and there's no timeline or information from SteelSeries on when (or if) they will.
- The Arctis 7 has wireless capability. It also appears to have separate volume channels for both game and chat audio
- The in-headset voice-game mixer works well - it's crazy how well it can boost voices (I tested in youtube and heard the narrations increase and the background music decrease)
- I'm always a few feet from the usb transmitter and have never had any issue with lag or sound delay
- Wireless is NOT compatible for Xbox One, so if you plan on using this for your Xbox only like myself, don't pay an extra $80 for a wireless feature that won't be put to use.
- Sometimes, the processing that increases voice volumes using the chat mixer makes the voice very mid heavy - sounds processed
- Software on PC could be a little better - allow for task bar icon to check battery life.
