I am very impressed with this Dewalt, as a good general-purpose drill. It feels solid and has both good torque and good speed, between the two settings.
The clutch is adjustable and also has a "fixed" position to obtain full torque. Though not as large or heavy duty as the red colored brand, this drill has never failed to provide me the torque needed to do what I had to do with it.
At first I was very impressed, the torque and performance was very good and the battery seemed to last a long time, much better than the old Bosche cordless drill I had for many years.
Seems to be a very good drill - fairly light weight with plenty of torque. Battery recharge time is good.
At 300 UWO, that puts this drill at about 373in/lbs in the low speed setting - not the best, but not bad.

DEWALT DCD780C2 20-Volt Max Li-Ion Compact Drill

The power of this drill is amazing for a small drill. I have owned severat other battery powered dills; This is the best by far.
The two speed transmission gives me the low speed torque to drive some pretty hefty screws as well as drilling with 1/2 inch shank drills and the high speed is great for smaller drill bits or other high rpm uses.
I’ve had this drill for at least 5 years and build over 1000 sf of decks using 3 1/2 inch screws. Not a week goes by that it isn’t used at least once. This drill is faster and more powerful than most.
The 2000 rpm is great for drilling smaller holes or driving smaller screws. The form and fit of this drill is excellent.
I was drilling out a brass cleat in a deck, and it powered through like it was corded drill (but to be clear, this does not have the power of a corded drill, but it's closer than any other portable I've used).

It's extremely small and lightweight, probably half of the weight I'm used to holding with normal NiCad battery drills.
I like the lighter weight this has compared to others.
Given the light weight of the battery, the drill does seem a shade top heavy but it's easy to get used to.
This drill also is substantial, just the right weight not too heavy, but heavy enough to have the power.
The weight of the tool is not heavy and the battery life, so far, has been as expected. Very easy to operate.

DEWALT DCD780C2 20-Volt Max Li-Ion Compact Drill

Its a De Walt so its a good drill. A little pricey but comparable to other sights, nice and lightweight, plenty of power and speed.
Superior product - weight and feel are much improved with more power than any other brand I have
I like the size of the battery, making it light weight and ease to handle.
This drill is the best at what it does. This is a compact drill, not made for heavy work. You can easily work overhead or hold this thing in your hand all day.
Best drill I have ever owned. Feels really sturdy. The battery lasts forever. Great torque. Light weight makes it easy to use for long periods.

Two batteries, solid construction, and an LED light make for a real nice drill. The simplicity in attaching a bit is helpful and the ability to accurately adjust the speed of the drill is helpful when you're trying to get it juuust right.
One feature I like is the light (the one bell and/or whistle this drill has). I've had other drills with lights - that's nothing new.
Great product at a bargain price. Plenty of power, solid construction and good battery life. It comes with 2 batteries which is an important feature.
In addition to having great balance and plenty of power, one feature I really like is that the work light stays on for 20 seconds after the trigger is released.
Does not have driver-bit holder on drill, this would be a handy feature. I would definitely buy this again.

DEWALT DCD780C2 20-Volt Max Li-Ion Compact Drill

This drill is aweseome. I LOVE the light. More torque than I ever had before. No one ever gets to borrow my drill, it's all mine!
The drill has 15 clutch settings to give you great control when driving screws. It comes with two 1.5 Ah lithium ion batteries that are small, light, yet powerful. The batteries charge in 30 minutes, have excellent runtime and hold their charge well while stored.
On the plus side of that it has an adjustable clutch. When I get tired I rely on that a lot to not overdrive screws. It has two speeds.
This one has the light above the trigger, so it doesn’t illuminate a screw head as you get close.
The LED light is not so much useful when actually driving as it is to have a tool with a light available nearby when working after dark.
