Good resolution 720p or 1080p. Very smooth image (high FPS).
It has adjustable resolution of 720p and 1080p. It has a wide screen lens that puts your peripheral vision to shame.
This model is nice having a larger screen, onboard playback, gps, and speed information all watermarked onto the recording.
Great camera, easy instructions, great resolution and very dependable. Alerts work 100% of the time.
The screen just went black after about 3 month. It just stopped working on its own. I have the Garmin Dash Cam 20 in my other truck and that one is working fine going on 2 years now.

Easily mountable with a magnet you install on your windshield or what have you. After this, it's pretty much stuck. The camera itself sticks to the magnet while driving... and unless you have a major crash, I can't see how it would fall off.
This has worked excellent. I really like it. The resolution is really good. You can make out license plates very well.
Very solid 1080p video resolution when viewing from computer.
The video quality from this camera is awesome, even when viewed on a big TV.
Screen is pointless, remove it and make the device cheaper.
Positioning it well can be tricky, especially if hiding it near the rear view mirror where you cant see the screen.

Video quality at 1080P is excellent and the camera adjusts to changes in light conditions smoothly and well.
Night videos are clear and usable. This is a good, reliable choice if you want a no hassle dash cam.
Finally installed the Dash Cam 35 in my 2016 Honda Pilot and I love it. The video is clear and I have no issues with it.
The video is great, the mapping and speed is great, and when you get an alert that you're too close, it doesn't show up on the replay.
Video quality is very good, although the field of view could be wider.

Great field of view and crisp digital imaging, plus time/date and location stamping. Very high resolution on film for blowing up still frames. Superior product.
Good video and wide angle lens is a plus. The lane warning is great along with the other alerts that are available.
What a wonderful device to have in your vehicle, the video is great and now it can also record audio. I recently used it as a rear viewing camera and it came in very handy during a parking lot accident when another driver backed up into me and hit me. The video is very compelling.
There isn't an option for how long you want the saved files to be. They're one minute clips, which isn't a huge deal by any means, but an option to do 3 or 5 or even 10 minutes would be nice.
Video quality is good for day time but not for night time.

Integrated GPS. It overlays position, speed, date and time in the video (very useful against legal issues)
Turns on and off automatically based in the car switch.
Proximity alarm (yes it works). measures the distance to the front car. ober certain speed it beeps if you are to close.
The playback on my computer is spectacular . All features work perfectly, especially the collision alert and the speed and stop camera alerts.
The lenght of the cord from the 12 volt adapter is too short !!! This is the only reason I didnt give 5 star.
Not a fan of the mounting post. I wished it came with suction style post, but I can live with it. Overall very pleased with the camera.

GPS requires no setup, the speed is not accurate at all- doesn't update fast enough, but provides an accurate reading when at a consistent speed.
Great quality video! The lane departure assist and forward collision warning are highly inaccurate, but you can turn them off.
The Garmin 45 is an outstanding camera. I love that it has built in Wi-Fi and that you can connect your phone to it to save videos.
I'd like to be able to have more information on the features. It's kinda hard to find. And the instructions are less informing than those of IKEA furniture.
The only problem I have with this is the app you must download in order to save/view videos. The app will freeze and trimming the video down to size to catch the incident is a frustrating task.
