There are a few things that make the TROND BT-DUO Bluetooth transmitter and receiver such an attractive option for a number of customers. If you have a TV or a computer that doesn't support the wireless Bluetooth connection and you would like to enjoy the content on the said devices with a high definition audio streaming directly to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers, we definitely recommend giving the HomeSpot Bluetooth transmitter a try.

Avantree BTTC-500-W-US

Low Latency for the Win

There's quite a lot to like about this Bluetooth transmitter and receiver. First, there's the ridiculous range of the device that, with the help of an external antenna, transmits and receives the signal up to 164 feet in an open-air line-of-sight kind of scenario and up to 70 feet indoors. Then, there's the Bypass function that allows the user to turn the Bluetooth ON and OFF using a simple switch. Thanks to this function, you won't have to manually plug and unplug the device itself. We would also be remiss not to mention the full-work voice prompts, as well as the status/codec LED markers, both of which are there to simplify the already straightforward operation of this Bluetooth gizmo. Furthermore, you can use the model in question to stream stereo sound to a couple of earphones simultaneously, the device providing you with a nice little opportunity to share the audio with the person next to you.

Now, as we have mentioned earlier, what we have here is a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver. As some of you may know, that means that the former will allow you to Bluetooth-enable the TV, an AV receiver, radio, and just about any audio device to stream music to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers. As for the receiver, you can use this nice little function to Bluetooth-enable the home stereo system or any AV receiver and wirelessly stream music from a cell phone or a laptop. Having said all of that, the best part of this device is its particularly low latency. The virtual lack of latency makes the model especially suitable for PC as well as TV speakers, or just about any other scenario where an uninterrupted audio stream and a long-range transmission are a necessity.

All in all, what we have here is easily the best Bluetooth transmitter for TV. It isn't the cheapest option on the market but all of the model's functions and specifications make this model a surprisingly cost-effective device.

TaoTronics TT-BA08

Put It in a Car

The model from TaoTronics is simply great for a number of different reasons. First off, not dissimilar to the majority of these devices, the model offers two different power source options, providing you with the opportunity to work with a built-in rechargeable battery or a USB-port. But the difference between those devices and the one in question is just how many hours of battery life you can get out of a single charge. Where most transmitters offer somewhere between 7 and 8, the model will be able to provide you with 20 hours of runtime, making it easily the best Bluetooth transmitter for cars. In order to support that statement, we would also like to point out the device's 1.89" x 1.89" x 0.33" of overall dimensions, the kind of size that will allow you to easily find some space for it inside your car. And to further cement that argument, there's also the ability to connect 2 Bluetooth speakers or headphones at the same time. Using the latter option, parents can get an ever-so-needed break while the children are enjoying the movie in silence.

Other than that, the manufacturers certainly weren't wrong to incorporate the aptX Low Latency technology. In case you aren't familiar with it, the said technology is there to ensure the lowest end-to-end lag time possible. With no more than 40 milliseconds of the latter, you will be able to transmit HD video without any issues whatsoever. Finally, the USB Bluetooth transmitter also comes equipped with the receiver's functions that allow the non-Bluetooth devices like car or home stereo systems to receive high-quality audio.

In conclusion, the model from TaoTronics could certainly be described as one of the better options for parents. Aside from that and the low lag time, it is the model's compact size and the 2-for-1 connection that make the device such a great option for cars.

Avantree BTTC-318-BLK

It's More Convenient This Way

If we had to describe this transmitter from Avantree with one word, that word would have to be "convenient". Now, there's a number of things that make the model so convenient. First things first, the model comes equipped with the seldom implemented magnetic base. And the fact that so many manufacturers do not incorporate this kind of base is really a shame since it makes for a really easy wall-mount installation, providing you with an opportunity to get things up and running without a number of additional tools. The aptX Low Latency technology is also part of that convenience. The technology even works with a dual-link setup, allowing you to stream audio to a couple of headphones without experiencing any lip-sync delay while enjoying a movie, a television show, or a gaming session.

Other than that, this USB Bluetooth transmitter comes equipped with the latest installment of the Bluetooth technology. That and the quality circuitry allowed the manufacturers to extend the effective range of the transmission up to 100 feet. Now, to be fair, some customers claim that the actual range is shorter than advertised, especially when it comes to indoor conditions. But even with that in mind, the model is still one of the better transmitters as far as the question of coverage area is concerned. Finally, there's the computer USB audio support that makes the device particularly suitable for working with personal computers as it supports digital USB audio output, so you won't have to deal with any additional AUX cables.

To sum it up, the USB Bluetooth transmitter from Avantree will prove to be a great acquisition for the kind of customers who love watching movies together or would like to use their new pair of headphones while enjoying a nice gaming session or an engaging television series.

TROND BT-DUO

Bring It With You

A few things make the TROND BT-DUO one of the most interesting options on the market. For instance, the model's 1.81 x 1.3 x 0.38 inches of overall dimensions and the 0.5 ounces of weight make it one of the smallest transmitters out there and, subsequently, one of the better models when it comes to transportation. Given the compact size and the portable nature, it comes as no surprise that the device includes both a built-in rechargeable battery and a USB-port. The battery offers 8 hours of runtime, which is nothing short of impressive considering, again, the small frame of the transmitter. The people behind this product also didn't forget to incorporate the aptX technology that minimizes the latency and allows you to CD-quality sound in a wireless manner, using the Bluetooth connections with aptX-source devices like TV’s, phones, and tablets.

Of course, what we have here isn't just a transmitter but also a receiver. In a transmitter mode, the model can be used to transform 3.5 mm audio devices into Bluetooth devices, making them capable of streaming Bluetooth audio. The receiver mode, on the other hand, will provide you with the opportunity to make non-Bluetooth devices like car or home stereo systems receive a high-quality audio signal.

In short, there are a few things that make the TROND BT-DUO Bluetooth transmitter and receiver such an attractive option for a number of customers. The model's compact size certainly doesn't limit the number of possible applications and neither does the surprisingly powerful battery that makes the device highly portable.

HomeSpot BTADP-128-D

Enjoy Netflix in Peace

If you have a TV or a computer that doesn't support the wireless Bluetooth connection and you would like to enjoy the content on the said devices with a high definition audio streaming directly to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers, we definitely recommend giving the HomeSpot Bluetooth Transmitter a try. With this model, you will be able to watch Netflix or enjoy late-night television without bothering your roommate. And you won't have to settle for subpar audio quality either as the aptX Low Latency technology will provide you with the opportunity to enjoy quality sound that's perfectly in sync with the picture.

That said, in addition to the USB-port, the model also comes equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery. That way, you will be able to enjoy music in your car, with up to 7 hours of battery life to support your endeavors. The 4.2 version of Bluetooth extends the range of the transmission up to 100 feet and that opens up quite a few opportunities. Unfortunately, if you're planning on utilizing those opportunities, you might want to get prepared for a slight delay in transmission on the 30+ feet distance. But some would say that the model more than makes up for this little shortcoming with support for both 3.5 mm (AUX and RCA) and optical (TOSLINK) connections (both input and output are supported). And, not dissimilar to the majority of these transmitters, the model will allow you to connect 2 devices at once.

To reiterate our earlier point, if you have a TV set or a computer that doesn't support the wireless Bluetooth connection and you would like to enjoy the content on the said devices with a high definition audio streaming directly to your Bluetooth headphones or speakers, there's really no reason not to give the HomeSpot Bluetooth transmitter a try.

What Is a Bluetooth Transmitter?

The Big Bang Theory's Sheldon Cooper has suggested that everything is better with Bluetooth. And you know what? He isn't wrong. Unfortunately, not every consumer electronics manufacturer out there agrees with that philosophy. But, as it always is with the free market, where one group of people lacks the foresight to do the obvious thing, the other group is there to pick up the slack. That is how the latter group of people came up with a Bluetooth transmitter. Using a device like that, you will be able to transform 3.5 mm audio-out media devices into Bluetooth devices capable of streaming Bluetooth audio. Plus, a good chunk of these transmitters also come equipped with the receiver's functions, the kind that you can use to make non-Bluetooth devices like car or home stereo systems receive high-quality audio. Just take into account the range of the signal and the type and the number of connections that the transmitter comes equipped with and you should be able to choose the right model.

A device like that works best when paired with a good set of computer speakers or a Bluetooth headset, so you might want to grab one of those while you're at it.
