Has a great sound that fills the living room and beyond. Great, rich bass sound if you want, or crisp clear dialogue.
An interesting and useful feature is the "Clear Voice" button. This boosts the level of human voice frequencies, particularly the higher ones, relative to the rest of the current audio.
It already has an awesome low frequency, built-in subwoofer. I chose to turn the internal sub all the way down and increase the bass on the external sub.
The high frequency response distorts the speech of the programs that go on my TV.
I have a love hate relationship with. The sound is nice but doesn't get loud enough.

Very good frequency response and sound quality. The "Clear Voice" function helps dialogue stand out over background noise.
Surprisingly good bass given that there is no external subwoofer. It is simple to add an external powered subwoofer if you decide you want stronger bass.
The drivers in this sound bar are perfectly adequate to produce higher frequencies that they currently emit.
I find that the mid- and high-frequencies can sound muddy if you dial up the bass too much.
My biggest complaint is that this sound bar lacks high frequencies, partially when you place it on a shelf with the drivers pointed upward.

I don't have any complaints! It is a great size. Very short, around 2 inches so it does not impede the view or the remote controls on the TV.
The sound bar is very sleek looking. It's got decent bass response for its size.
Best sound bar I ever owned. Big punch for the small size easy to install and mount.
The build quality is top notch. It does not feel cheap but is heavy with a design that is very logical.
I'm afraid that the mount may not withstand it because it is heavy enough.

This is all you need for a small apartment. Very decent surround-sound effect for a sound bar, and good bass even without a subwoofer on the floor that will irritate the neighbors.
I now have full range sound, like I never imagined possible, in a large living room, from a very compact system.
This soundbar is compact and relevant to Home Theater situation.
Love that it's compact and doesn't have a separate subwoofer to find room for.
Compact and well made for the cost. Impressive sound with good bass.

Simple installation and great sound. No bulky loudspeaker assembly.
Using iOS app ‘Home theatre Controller, you can control the volume, select the source, change the way it sounds by adjusting bass, tone and subwoofer.
There is a setting called ‘Clear Voice’ which enhances the voice in songs and movies.
Surround sound can be adjusted to various settings like 3D, sports, movies, games, movies, etc.
The cables stick out of the top showing above the unit. Sure, I can probably bend them down, but that may cause the optical cable to kink.

This unit has a good sound stage that is definitely more 3-D than plain stereo.
The install was relatively straight forward. I also reran the Samsung TV setup. I recommend the free Yamaha app for your phone or IPad. This makes it easier to set all your preferences.
Amazing sound - easy installation. Initially used optical audio but switch to HDMI so Samsung TV remote controls Amazon FireTV box and volume on Yamaha soundbar.
I really like the "clear voice" option on the remote which makes it easier to hear movie dialogue when there's background noise or music.
This is definitely not surround sound because sound bars simply cannot be expected to provide "real" surround sound.

Amazing surround sound, easy bluetooth connection in very well built unit.
Download the Yamaha app to get a bit more out of the system but right out of the box it's a fantastic buy!
Enabling BT connections was also quick and painless. I was able to pair the unit with my Android phone in no time, and music from the phone sounds great.
This Yamaha was easy to connect to my iPhone, and it prompted me to download the app for the sound bar, which is nice because you can see exact settings for the sound bar.
When the soundbar is connected via HDMI, the optical (Toslink) input does not work, no matter which input you define.

When it arrived, I connected it to my new 55 inch TV using the special TV optical cord. It worked like a dream.
Even while connected to the TV, the speaker can switch to Bluetooth-mode and play music from other devices.
Easy connection to the TV via one HDMI, then the TV remote controls the sound bar. Also has bluetooth connectivity so you can stream music from smart phone or tablet to the soundbar.
If your TV doesn't have an HDMI ARC connection, you'll need to use the optical connection which does not allow you to use your TV/Cable remote to power on/off or adjust volume settings.
When I tried to connect the Sound Bar to the TV using the ARC HDMI cable, however, nothing happened.
