LIFX A19 Wi-Fi Smart LED Light Bulb
- Unlike Phillips Hue bulbs, these do not require a bridge, and work on your existing wifi network instead. This brings down initial costs considerably.
- These bulbs are fantastic. I have 3 and just ordered another one from Amazon. They are really bright but dimmable. I keep mine on about 60% and find it's about as bright as a standard 60 watt bulb.
- Wireless reliability is an issue. I've had to power-cycle these bulbs every morning. I've yet to wake up and successfully say "Alexa, set bedroom lights to 30%". So far, she's just told me that the bulbs cannot be found on the network.
- Sometimes the lights lose WiFi connection. I’ve only had 2 out of 25+ need to be completely reset (7 months using)

- We use it to dim the lights when relaxing and watching movies. The app is very simple to use, and you can save an unlimited number of preset moods.
- Absolutely love my lifx bulb. No connectivity issues, great deep and rich colors (recommend 25% brightness for best color, and still bright at that setting).
- The bulbs are installed vertically in lamps with shades. Yes, the housing generates noticeable heat at full power, but it's not unreasonable. Most of the time I'm operating at 50% power, which produces no heat.
- Simply put these are the best LED bulk a I have bought to date - and I have purchased at least 4 different kinds!
- The hardware and light output is superb, but it's lacking in the API/app department.

LIFX A19 Wi-Fi Smart LED Light Bulb
- Fantastic range of TRUE colors. Wide range of white light - all the way up to 9000K which bests the "daylight" bulb that only goes to 4000K.
- They are head and shoulders above Philips Hue bulbs in terms of color saturation and brightness (I know this because my house mate owns Philips Hue bulbs).
- Excellent color selection (16 million colors, a few dozen white bulb temperatures, and 1-100% brightness control).
- Great color range. BRIGHT 1100 lumens.
- Color changing is not as smooth as the Hue bulbs. It will eventually get to the color that you select, but getting there is a little flashy.

- Over 1000 lumens of colored goodness :) I have had connectivity issues with the Lifx bulbs but the new iOS app and bulb firmware have been working great.
- I love being able to change the lighting of my room based on my mood or the activity I'm doing (bright white-ish for working, dim green/blue for reading in bed, etc.)
- Colors are entertaining. plenty of features on the APP.
- The colors,brightness, and effects are cool and work well. The app and bulb are responsive.
- I love these lights, they work just as expected and I will be buying more. it is a great investment.

- Easy setup when it goes well, wonderful step by step instructions on the website, especially if you have trouble.
- No hub required. This is a plus as my router and switch connections are all in use so not having to buy an additional switch was nice (but this might not be an issue for the average person).
- iOS LIFX app works fairly well, and the setup process was quick and simple.
- This light works well with Alexa and has so many different colors and features.
- Hiccups during setup, had to reset the bulb - instructions for that are not found in the packaging.
- The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is the app.... I like using the app but I have to restart the app every other day in order to fix connectivity issues.
LIFX A21 Wi-Fi Smart LED Light Bulb
- There are some party settings that will coordinate random colors throughout the house.
- I can turn off all the lights in the house once I get in bed each night knowing that I didn't forget one of them.
- This bulb is quite bigger and heavier than all other bulbs. So make sure your socket can support the weight if it's a sideways socket.
- The remote connectivity feature is also working very well. IFTTT also works great with the bulbs.
- The app is great and they constantly update it, enabling new features over time.
- The bulb is the larger A21 (vs standard home A19) size so it does not fit everything. Also it gets hot to the touch (but LIFX reports this is to keep the bulb long lasting) but I have not had any issues with it running for long periods of time.
