General Specifications
About the Product
The archetypal high quality touring tire. The highly elastic GreenGuard layer is 3 mm thick. One third of the GreenGuard is made up of recycled latex products. The “Anti-Aging” sidewall can withstand the typical cracking that results from overloading due to insufficient inflation pressure for much longer.
High mileage and puncture resistance team up in this fast-rolling, wire bead road tire from Continental. Made with DuraSkin polyamide fabric to ensure excellent sidewall protection without compromising weight or ride quality. Smooth in the center and grippy on the shoulders, this durable tire provides superior cornering in any condition. Designed for bike commuting, touring and serious training.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
Schwalbe Marathon HS Wire Bead Tire
  • Just finished the coast to coast TransAmerica bike route, 4,500 miles. NO flats, did not even rotate the tires.
  • After about 100 miles I have not had any issues with grip, flats, or rolling resistance.
  • I know that I've already ridden over some scattered broken glass and the tire has performed fine.
  • Good grip and they roll into turns very smoothly, they just feel good.
  • I got a flat after running over a piece of wood, I also had a tuffy tire liner.
Continental GatorSkin DuraSkin Tire 2-Pack
  • Rolling resistance and weight is quite good. I have gone four years without a flat on these tires.
  • These tires are strong and reliable.
  • I didn’t find them so hard to get onto my wheels. The grip and rolling resistance is noticeably nice.
  • They give such great piece of mind without added bulk or compromise, highly recommended!
  • The biggest issue with these tires is they are *very* difficult to install. I struggled to get them seated and resorted to using tire levers to get the final strip of bead onto the rim.

What customers say about "Features"
Schwalbe Marathon HS Wire Bead Tire
  • The reflective siding makes me feel better when I ride home at dusk.
  • The layer of green gooey silicone between the tread and the casing does some magic.
  • The reflective sidewall is a plus and help in visibility at night.
  • Really not that hard to install. Lasts forever, never flats and has great off-road handling characteristics.
  • I bought this tire hoping my flats were over. However after only 50 miles I got a piece of rock, probably flint, stuck through the middle of the tread.
Continental GatorSkin DuraSkin Tire 2-Pack
  • Nice and grippy when they need to, and roll very smooth.
  • This tire is tough. I ran over potholes, gravel that would puncture cheaper tires, but I had no issues while other rides had to fix their flats.
  • They are rugged and seem to handle the rough roads and road hazards very well.
  • Very reliable tire. I’ve never gotten a flat on these tires!
  • Heavy tires and not very comfortable. Already had 2 flats on this tire at 200 miles.
