With select key design and build improvements, the R-Series Subwoofer is able to output more of that deep bass extension and control that the Type-R is known for.

The P3D2-12 12-inch, dual 2-ohm subwoofer is part of Rockford Fosgate's best performing Punch P3 series, delivering a monster 1200 watts of peak power handling. The P3 subwoofers now feature anodized aluminum cones and dustcaps, along with unique spider venting to keep the motor cooler than previous versions.

The box size for a 12 is relatively small but this thing will knock the ole socks off
I love that Alpine recommends the box size and type which eliminated the costly and timely need for trial and error.

I only have one sub but a nicely sized box and it sounds big and heavy.
I really like this sub, it has incredible sound for its size.
It's heavy, it looks great, materials feel like this thing can pump.
The magnet on this thing is huge and the woofer is heavy and extremely well made.
The sub is well built and HEAVY. During installation, you will need to use help.

Have had these for about a year and they still are great. Running them at 700RMS Each and it is incredibly loud. Would recommend these to everyone
This sub hits so low, I had an mtx thunder 4500 before this and this sub hands down is wayyyyyy better, I give it 700 watts rms and it shakes my whole car. For any price alpine cannot be beat in quality.
I have one of these running 700 watts rms and it blows everything out of the water. It hits notes my old Kicker CVR could only dream of hitting. The notes are so clear and smooth too
I have had two of these at seperate times...they both blew at 100 rms so i would reccomend only feeding then 800 rms or less. but they look very nice and i would buy again if they were on sale and i was looking for some more 12's

This sub handles any type of music with ease. Produces great sounding bass at any volume and every frequency.
I have it installed in the Q-power HD112VL ported box, it's a good combo, really good bass response, and very loud.
This subwoofer has great crisp response (in a sealed box at least) and good deep range.
I started noticing heavy distortion. This is THE worst Rockford product I have ever purchased.
The frequency range isn't quite as good as some others are, the bass is considerably clearer and crispier than others, ESPECIALLY at high frequencies.

Proper subwoofer. Super heavy duty. I've always used the less expensive Kickers and they pound nicely, but this P3 is a huge step up.
This subwoofer has great clarity, control and power. I have been impressed with its performance, there is a reason this has such high reviews, people are amazed at the quality and power.
These hit HARD and my bass knob controller is only up halfway. Pulled into a parking lot and a guy asked me what was in my trunk.
Overall quality of the subwoofer is good, it's definitely made of good materials and holds up extremely well over time.
I have recently used this subwoofer with my home theater system, powered by only 300 watts and it coped with it poorly!

Highly recommend not cutting corners on your installation, solder your connections and use a good amp kit.
Awesome product. Fit very easily into the subwoofer box, easy to connect, handles everything I've thrown at it. Very Pleased!
Installation holes are nice and sturdy and the included jumpers made the connections configurable to your choosing
It started to burn smell , while it was connected to a rockford amp punch 1,000 watt

I have two of these in a dual-sealed box. Each sub is wired for 2ohms and connected to Kenwood KAC-8105D amplifiers. They sound incredible!
Connected to a 500 watt RMS alpine mono block D amp amp. This subwoofer was great.
Easy to very plug in the car. It took 15 minutes.
The sub stopped working after two days, something happened to the connector.
A month later, the connector stopped holding the wires so the connection constantly disappeared.
