What customers say about "Key Specs"
Shure 55SH Series II Dynamic Microphone (the Elvis Microphone)
  • I am not a microphone expert but the sound quality was good in practice. When I set up the Shure 55SH microphone and my Shure Wireless Microphone, here is what people did at the Karaoke event;
  • Very even and consistent response across vocal frequency range. Some presence enhancement, subtle and helps vocals punch through mix.
  • It has a crisp sound, with real depth and clarity, easy to eq any troublesome frequency out of it. The shock mounted diaphram is a lifesaver on stage, you can touch the mic, move it, grab the stand and really get into your performance...without a ton of noise.
  • Good sound quality and made me feel like a real professional at my last show. Plus, it just looks awesome.
  • From a live perspective, the mic does a great job of clearly picking up the lows and mids in my voice. It gives a very true representation of my tone, and doesn't accentuate plosives at all -- even when the volume is cranked up.
Shure Super 55 Deluxe Vocal Microphone
  • Clean, transparent and natural sound. Even at a close to mic spoken words taping, the sound was superb, This SM55 is a must have in the mic collection of engineers and producers.
  • It sounds so good with any PA I plug it into. I am partial to my Bose L1 mini, but it holds up well to any other PA I plug it into. It is so good at reproducing my voice that I can hear what I need to fix on my singing.
  • This mike, not only looks great, it sounds great. It is very quiet. It is also very sensitive and has the right sound for live vocal work.
  • Great low end punch, decent volume handling, perfect for recording acoustic guitar or male rock vocals.
  • I've had this mic for a couple of months now and used it live and at rehearsals. It's a ver good mic, good voicing, great sound and dynamic.

What customers say about "Features"
Shure 55SH Series II Dynamic Microphone (the Elvis Microphone)
  • My karaoke singers love it for it's sound and pickup. Plus they love the old fashioned looks.
  • It's built like an absolute tank, for starters. You'd have to drive over this thing a few times for it to break. The EQ on this microphone is incredible as well.
  • Great quality and I like the ajustability. I'm not sure if this a word but it does the job, it can make you sound like Johnny Cash (ha). awesome highs and lows. My Wife loves it because it is like the one Elvis used in the Sun Studio.
  • I couldnt believe my ears,it is so clear and powerful. If you want a really great sounding mic at a super low price jump on it I couldnt be more pleased!!!!
  • I'm very pleased with the Share 55SH Series II microphone. It is working very good with the purpose I'm using it for, with vocals and recording with my DAW studio.
  • The only downside is it won't work with most modern mic stands that have a squeeze handle directly below the mount.
Shure Super 55 Deluxe Vocal Microphone
  • I use this mic on my Amateur Radio station. Simply amazed at the great responses I've gotten from my QSOs...
  • Looks great sounds great, gave that bottom end I needed and just a pleasure to have live or recording and it looks great with the blue felt inside I use it everyday since I got it
  • The mic was crafted very well, looked awsome, if your not a rock star you SHURE felt like one .
  • Great quality, love the sound, excellent feedback rejection. This mic is simply built the way a mic should be built, solid. The looks are exactly what I was looking for.
  • The only thing you need to be aware of is the way it mounts to your stand. The XLR jack and the mic stand threads are very close to each other, so using a locking washer is pretty much not an option.
