What customers say about "Key Specs"
Hauppauge Colossus
  • This is an excellent capture card. I have tried a number of different resolutions and bitrates and it seems to work perfect every time.
  • The component and HDMI capture quality is very good. No dropped frames since it's hardware encoded (no CPU burden).
  • The HDMI input can accept 5.1 channel digital audio along with stereo PCM. Audio gets encoded in either AC3 (5.1), or AAC (stereo).
  • The HDMI connector does not see the cable, it is impossible to connect to the console. Very upset.
  • HDMI port does not support encrypted video, so it cannot be used for cable set-top boxes.
Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI and Analog Editing Card
  • No cable clutter if you're using HDMI...transfers video and audio clear through one port.
  • Works with my Iogear hdmi switch so it can share my desktop's secondary monitor.
  • This is the best card you can find for the price. There is no better quality even beyond this price point...more expensive options only offer more input/output and bandwidth options.
  • If you need to record one source at a time, this is your miracle product. Definitely worth the money.
  • This card is fantastic for anything that is 480 and up. Recommend, good price for that performane.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Hauppauge Colossus
  • It fits perfectly on the computer. The ideal size does not take up much space in it.
  • Looks great on a computer. Easy to manage. I recommend to all.
  • Beautiful and compact card. It stands motionless in a computer.
  • VERY VERY BIG! There are small boards in a market that are better!
  • A bit heavy comparing with analogues. It’s scary that it can break the connector because of its weight.
Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI and Analog Editing Card
  • It's a small gripe, though, since the card just works right out of the box and that is always nice!
  • This was incredibly easy to install into any PCIe port. It is small so I didn't feel like I had to put it anywhere specific.
  • Delivery was efficient and perfect quality product. Product is small as well which is great.
  • The design is sleek and small, decent quality, can recommend it!
  • Small and lightweight, definitely worth the money, very good quality and no lags anymore!

What customers say about "Features"
Hauppauge Colossus
  • Got it quickly running under Windows 7 64-bit. The early driver releases were very unstable, but the stability has increased with the recent drivers.
  • Two software applications for capturing: ArcSoft's ShowBiz and Hauppauge's WinTV. I briefly tested the ShowBiz app and it works fine.
  • The Hauppauge Capture software from the website installed easily.
  • Card is not recognised by any capture software except for the crappy WinTV7 that it came with. Cannot be used with standard capture or webcam software.
  • Bundled capture software is not designed for capturing and recording, it's designed for watching live TV, but I don't think this card has a tuner in it.
Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro HDMI and Analog Editing Card
  • VERY Easy to Install. Just slide it in a slot, apply screw...done. Next step is to download lastest software from website.
  • No noticeable latency added. I'm recording online BlackOps matches on my XBOX 360 while my computer is being used by someone else.
  • I've done some testing on WiiU and Gamecube both to see the quality it produces, though I've only used the 720 option for the WiiU, not the 1080, though that is available for it.
  • It causes no lag on on-screen display (at least with a sufficiently powerful computer), although I haven't tried the passthrough yet.
  • It works great with AmaRecTV, if you don't want to use the software that comes with it.
