About the Product
FiiO X5 Mark III 32GB - 3rd generation mastering quality lossless portable music player with touchscreen Android OS
The iBasso DX50 is a small, but solid device, which at first glance removes all questions about its status. A metal case, a touch screen, separate convenient buttons for switching songs and volume, ample opportunities for connecting external devices, all this speaks of a serious approach of the manufacturer to its product.

What customers say about "Key Specs"

iBasso DX50
  • The sound quality is very good! The user can adjust the EQ or use some of the other EQ genre settings.
  • The iBasso DX50 sounds great and has a clean logical UI. For storage, this unit can be paired with a micro sd card and USB flash memory via an OTG cable.
  • It's got 8 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that will support up to 2TB cards as technology allows. The internal memory is enough.
  • The display is pretty basic, don't expect an iOS experience. But that's fine, I wanted a player where the price went towards sonic performance, not necessarily UI.
  • 8GB isn't a lot when you are loading FLAC music files. I picked up a 32GB Micro SD card at a local store.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Fiio X5 Mark III Hi-Res Certified Lossless Music Player with Touch Screen Android OS and 32GB Storage (3rd Gen, Black)
  • Great sound, good size and feature.
  • It's the right size, it's the right sound.
iBasso DX50
  • Size - just about right, not too big or small and has nice heft to it. Ability control music from the screen and buttons is a big plus for me.
  • Size of unit is nice. Small but not too small or too large. Case is aluminum and would hold up well.
  • I love the size and weight. I LOVE the physical buttons on the front - they make it so easy to advance tracks.
  • I personally like its weight, bulk, and overall rock solid feel.
  • It logged all 110MB of music on my 128MB chip, sound quality was good after a bit of EQ, big buttons useful, light weight and basic operation is intuitive.

What customers say about "Features"
Fiio X5 Mark III Hi-Res Certified Lossless Music Player with Touch Screen Android OS and 32GB Storage (3rd Gen, Black)
  • Has not one, but two Micro SD card slots as well as 32Gb of onboard memory. This unit will play well with Windows, Mac or Linux and if the native music app is not to your taste you can download another from the Play Store.
  • It's got bluetooth for your wireless anc headphones.
  • Bluetooth. This is the biggest advantage the x5iii has over the x5ii. Any audiophile will want chords in most situations for the sound quality, but Bluetooth is much easier when in the car, at the gym, or just hooking up to a friend’s speaker system.
  • You will pause and skip tracks accidentally just putting this thing in a loose pocket. There is no way to disable or re-purpose the buttons.
  • The buttons are very sensitive and terribly placed. You cannot hit one one without hitting the other.
iBasso DX50
  • They aren't kidding about how easy it is to load files with Drag & Drop. I loaded music files from a desk top computer that runs Windows 10.
  • There are physical buttons for on/off/display, volume up/down, and back, forward, and pause. They all were easy to use.
  • Touchscreens are great but when you want to do things consistently and repeatably without having to have pinpoint accuracy on a touch screen, a big fat set of buttons works wonders.
  • The silicone pouch in fact arrived damaged. There was a small tear on it which did bother me because the rest of the product was so flawless.
  • The screen responds fine, but some of the display elements can be a bit small, which could be awkward for those with large hands.

What customers say about "Power"
Fiio X5 Mark III Hi-Res Certified Lossless Music Player with Touch Screen Android OS and 32GB Storage (3rd Gen, Black)
  • Overall: If you are looking for a device that has a decent battery life, responsive control and great sound, buy this device.
  • It has great battery life and will last pretty much a full day of heavy listening.
  • The battery life is ridiculously low. 4 hours tops using high gain and steaming from home network.
  • The battery life is ridiculously low.
  • WiFi will kill your battery in no time.
iBasso DX50
  • The replacement battery is readily available and easily replaceable.
  • It gives me about 15 hours of play time on one charge with a 2200mah battery.
  • Battery life is great. Touchscreen is reasonably responsive to touch.
  • The unit scans and files are right there at your fingertips. Battery life is great also.
  • Battery life seems lower than the ~20 hours I was getting on my old mp3 player.
