Columbia Bugaboo

Keeping the Movements Natural

Bugaboo is a questionable name but there's nothing questionable about Columbia Men's Bugaboo II Ski Pants aside from the name.

First and foremost, the waterproof, windproof, and completely breathable Omni-Tech™ Generation Dobby 100% nylon will keep you nice and comfortable outdoors in wet and windy conditions. Your body heat will have no issues escaping, while the rain will fail to come inside.

The insulated ski pants are reinforced at the cuffs, making sure that the sharpest edges won't be enough to tear them apart. At the same time, the articulated knees work wonders keeping the movements natural and unrestricted.

Critically seam-sealed, these pants incorporate an internal leg gaiter as well as reinforced cuff guards that increase protection and the product's durability to withstand serious everyday abuse.

Apart from that, these ski pants incorporate multiple adjustable sections, from the external waist adjustment to the internal gaiters, so you'll be able to make them fit snug and comfortable no matter what.

The only issue we have with the updated model is that the snap closures are somewhat stiff at first.

Besides that, Columbia Men's Bugaboo II Ski Pants are probably the best pants on the list for men. You'll feel comfortable and stay protected no matter the environment and conditions. At the same time, these pants are as durable as they come and will easily last for years.

Arctix Women's Essential

Ski Under any Conditions

Arctix Women's Essential Insulated Bib Overalls aren't necessarily the best-looking pants but they're definitely up there with the best overalls.

Offering complete coverage and protection from the elements, all while allowing full motion range, the pants' DWR finish excels at repelling water from the fabric surface.

Meanwhile, the 600 Denier Ballistic reinforced ankles, scuffs, and hem guards work wonders holding up against daily wear and tear.

The adjustable suspenders pretty much guarantee a perfect fit, while the elasticized side gussets let you exercise maximum motion.

Down there, the boot gaiters with these effective grippers basically form the most seamless integration with the boots to make sure to keep the warmth in and moisture out.

85g ThermaTech™ insulation makes these overalls lightweight but, at the same time, warm enough to tackle the slopes under any weather conditions. Meanwhile, the 100% polyester Dobby ThermaLock™ fabric makes the product wind- and water-resistant too.

The front pockets quit too soon, that's the only gripe we have with these overalls.

Setting these pockets aside, Arctix Women's Essential Insulated Bib Overalls never quit. These overalls will make sure you're able to ski under any weather conditions.

Clothin Fleece-Lined

Functional Pants

Clothin Men's Fleece-Lined Soft Shell Winter Pants are almost too affordable considering how well these things stack up against the pants' more expensive competition.

The Softshell™ polyester exterior incorporates the most effective water-repellent finish to cut the wind and, needless to say, repel rain and snow.

Meanwhile, the micro-fleece lining brings warmth, next-to-skin comfort, and exceptional moisture-wicking performance to make sure the skin is able to breathe but stay nice and warm at the same time.

Functionality-wise, these pants leave pretty much no room for complaints. They come equipped with three zippered pockets that you can use to keep your necessities safe and always accessible. The articulated knees handle increasing mobility as well as the next softshell pants.

Moreover, the ankle side zips with these snap tabs at the cuffs accommodate different ski boots and make sure you're able to easily slip the pants on and off, while the reflective stripes at the lower legs increase your visibility on the slopes come evening/nighttime.

When all is said and done, Clothin Men's Fleece-Lined Soft Shell Winter Pants remain the most attractive prospect within the budget price range. These pants are especially versatile and equally suitable for hiking, climbing, skiing, ski touring, and more.

Arctix Men's Essential

Feeling Nice and Comfortable

Arctix Men's Essential Insulated Bib Overalls are not about looking good. These overalls are all about feeling good.

The 85g ThermaTech™ insulation makes these pants lightweight and as low-bulk as ski pants can be. At the same time, the insulation will be enough to keep you warm even when the weather drops below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

Of course, feeling good and comfortable is as much about staying nice and warm as it is about movement. That's where the elasticized side gussets come in. Increasing motion range, the overall with these adjustable comfort suspenders make sure the fit is perfect and the movements are as unrestricted as they can be.

These are durable pants. The company's 600 Denier Ballistic tech has been used to reinforce ankles, scuffs, and hem guards. This way, these parts make the pants resistant against everyday wear and tear.

The boot zippers will let you easily take these ski bibs off and put them on as well as put on any boots with these pants on. Meanwhile, the O-rings are perfect for storing/safeguarding keys, gloves, and/or lift tickets.

Wrapping things up, Arctix Men's Essential Insulated Bib Overalls will keep you toasty warm through everyday winter activities. You'll remain comfortable no matter what. Plus, the pants are durable, machine washable, and easy to maintain.

TSLA Rip-Stop

Unrestricted Movement

TSLA Women's Rip-Stop Snow Pants are stylish, reliable, and as long-lasting as ski pants come.

We've seen pretty much everything these pants have to offer before but we've no issues with that. The pants are not here to surprise - they're here to keep you looking good and feeling comfortable at the same time.

The Duratex™ polyester shell makes these things wind- and water-resistant. At the same time, the triple-layer fabric reduces heat loss and offers exceptional moisture-wicking performance to make sure your skin is able to breathe with these pants on.

The Velcro waistband with tabs and eyelets hugs the waist and ensures these ski pants always stay on without squeezing the waist. The only issue here is that the waistband is pretty weak and begins to lose its strength after some time.

On the flip side, these women's ski pants are extremely practical and functional. In addition to the standard two zippered front pockets, these pants come equipped with two cargo pockets and one zippered rear pocket. You'll be able to separate different items and keep various essentials safe and secure.

Long story short, TSLA Women's Rip-Stop Snow Pants don't sacrifice anything. The pants are equally stylish, comfortable, and practical. The reinforced leg guards make these pants especially durable. The articulated knees provide unrestricted movement.

What Are Ski Pants?

Skiing is fun. As far as winter activities go, skiing and snowboarding are more fun than pretty much anything you can do when it is barely 20 degrees Fahrenheit outside. You should definitely consider giving skiing a try if you haven't already.

Before that, however, make sure to stock up on ski gear. Without the right gear, you won't be able to enjoy skiing as much as you would with it. Start with ski pants. There's nothing difficult about choosing the right ski pants.

First and foremost, make sure that the outer shell is wind- and water-resistant to let you ski under any weather conditions. Then, look at the lining and insulation. When the weather drops below ~25 degrees Fahrenheit, you'll need that insulation to keep you warm on the slopes and especially on the lifts.

After that, it is all about smaller details that nevertheless can make pants as much as break them. At least two zippered pockets have to be there to let you keep your essentials safe and easily accessible. Boot gaiters are pretty much essential too since these things keep you dry and comfortable and let you easily put the boots on and take them off.

After choosing the right ski pants, you can (and should) look into ski helmets and ski goggles.
