About the Product
Built with the same airless technology as Graco’s professional sprayers, the TrueCoat Plus II sprayer delivers a professional-quality finish in a fraction of the time of brushes and rollers. Sprays a wide variety of coating from stains to heavy latex and acrylics. Do not use with materials that state "flammable" on packaging.
The TrueCoat Pro II handheld electric sprayer is built with the same piston pump technology as Graco’s larger professional airless sprayers. ProControl Pressure Control System lets you dial in the perfect pressure to match your project, and the Tilt-N-Spray pendulum suction tube allows for a full range of motion when spraying. Sprays a wide variety of coating from stains to heavy latex and acrylics. Do not use with materials that state "flammable" on packaging.

What customers say about "Key Specs"
Graco TrueCoat Plus II Paint Sprayer (16N659)
  • Great product, professional grade, completely repairable. Unscrewing the nozzle and cleaning is spray orifice during clean-up very important otherwise you will get an odd spray pattern.
  • Am still getting the feel of airless spraying. I would say I was satisfied, but have not yet found out how to keep it from throwing large drops and spatters without constantly wiping the nozzle.
  • Don't turn the nozzle lever more than 180 degrees. That's as far as it goes. If you can't clear with the lever, then remove the nozzle and clear the filter.
  • I havent had a paint jam yet, but i did build up some chunk inside the nozzle. Don't forget to clean that too!
  • Good spray gun, but uses a lot of material due to overspray, even on lowest pressure setting.
Graco TrueCoat Pro II Electric Paint Sprayer (16N673)
  • I bought this a while back from a paint store and just now used it.Works great but has a tendency to spit once in a while after the trigger is released.Think maybe I didn't have the nozzle screwed on tight enough.
  • I have given this sprayer five stars but there are a couple of minor cons. First, the good.
  • Overall, I love this sprayer. All the more so because it is so much easier than my 395 Utlra when it comes to small jobs, and still gives the same quality paint job.
  • I was hesitant to purchase this since I already have a full sized airless paint sprayer. However, I've always been hesitant to get out the full sized unit due to how large it is to get around with as well as the wasteful and time consuming clean up.
  • Paint flow pulsates, leaving comb pattern when you move too fast. Rather heavy. Only works overhead when paint can is full. Spray tips are specific to this gun and not interchangeable with other guns/sprayers.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Graco TrueCoat Plus II Paint Sprayer (16N659)
  • It's a little bit of a pain to have to fill the canister every 10 minutes but it works great and a larger canister would just increase the weight. Easy to use, easy to clean.
  • The sprayer holds about a quart of paint and it does require frequent filling. But a larger reservoir would increase the weight to the point of being uncomfortable after a while.
  • Clean-up and set-up is far far easier than my full-size airless rig and I won't waste a ton of paint in the long hose. This is absolutely the sprayer of choice if you only need to spray a quart or two. Highly recommended!!
  • I am 6 feet and 200 lbs and this sprayer is heavy and cumbersome.
  • I would not recommend this sprayer. First of all, it's just way too heavy. It's feel so heavy that I measured the weight with a full load of paint in the canister and it is about 12 lbs+.
Graco TrueCoat Pro II Electric Paint Sprayer (16N673)
  • I have never owned a portable sprayer before this one. So, I cannot compare it to other portables. However, I do own a Graco 395 Ultra, full size sprayer.
  • The Graco is a true hand-held sprayer. It's a little heavy, but use both hands, and you'll be fine.
  • Build Quality, hmmm this is where my rating dropped. Now I know I said it felt sturdy, but at the handle while holding the gun the whole tool would creak and make noise like the plastic was just to thin to hold the weight.
  • Awesome tool for smaller jobs. get the 48oz container and lift some weights if you plan on spraying a lot of surface. a full tank with the gun gets a little heavy after a while.
  • The only thing that is not perfect is the weight. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and have to use it in short periods, but it does the job so fast that I often finish.

What customers say about "Features"
Graco TrueCoat Plus II Paint Sprayer (16N659)
  • Because it's an ailress sprayer, there is nothing coming out of the nozzle but paint.
  • Had this sprayer for a year now, love this sprayer. I am a DIY and use it many times around the house. Practice makes perfect. there is a learning curve if you haven't used airless before but you will not be dissapointed!
  • Goes through paint very fast but has much less wastage than a standard airless sprayer. 1 star off for price of new tips and having to get a new cage on each one. More expensive to replace tips than a standard airless sprayer.
  • I needed an airless sprayer for occasional painting jobs. This filled the void at a reasonable cost.
  • For doors, wall, fences and patios; this is a great tool. Way better than the airless spray guns of years past.
Graco TrueCoat Pro II Electric Paint Sprayer (16N673)
  • The tip clean out feature is just like the "pros" and works perfectly. Again as the directions say keep it stored with the solution to keep the tool from drying out.
  • This unit primes easily, which makes it so much easier to continue spraying after refiling the cup. Spraying is not as nice as with the X7 unit that we have, however the X7 wastes a lot of paint just to prime it, fill the hoses and then clean up.
  • The Granco is not like those it has lots of pressure, I had to almost run to keep up it ,and not have the paint build up. It's perfect for small jobs where priming the hose on a regular airless takes more paint than the project itself,it only takes like 10-15min. to clean and flush out.
  • The paint comes out evenly and disregard the reviews about it not working for ceilings. The siphon tube is angled slightly to the handle and it put on the wrong way, I can see how it would be starved for paint when at an angle.
  • It's perfect for small jobs where priming the hose on a regular airless takes more paint than the project itself,it only takes like 10-15min. to clean and flush out.
