What customers say about "Key Specs"
Lowa Renegade GTX Mid-M Hiking Boot
  • The craftsmanship is outstanding, the materials are outstanding. I'm very happy that there was large selection of colors for this model.
  • They are extremely well desined and well made - there are no mismatches of materials.
  • Initial impressions are extremely positive. Very comfortable. Material and construction quality seems excellent.
  • Then I bought these GTX's.....they seem to be made well so far as materials and build
  • On both shoes, the sole has worn through at the heel. When I look closely I see that the sole material is extremely thin (it doesn't appear that way from the outside, but the actual rubber is formed over an inner material, with the rubber being very thin).
Salomon Quest 4d 3 GTX Backpacking Boots
  • I wish these came it a full grain leather, it’s harder to clean the mix material but with the goretex I usually just spray them off with a hose before taking them off. I would definitely buy these again.
  • Fabric held up great, they are Gortex so they're on the warm side, and they performed extremely well, in my opinion.
  • The sole felt very stable and grippy.
  • They are lightweight enough to feel like a normal pair of sneakers, but you don't have to worry about stepping on a sharp rock and having it pierce the sole, or stepping in a small puddle and having your sock get soaked.
  • The sole literally started coming apart. We returned and got another pair assuming the first pair was just defective.

What customers say about "Features"
Lowa Renegade GTX Mid-M Hiking Boot
  • Really nice light/mid weight hikers. Fit is very comfortable right out of the box.
  • This is my everyday boot. Comfortable, light. Hard to beat.
  • The boots were very comfortable and seemed to offer adequate ankle support. They were fairly light.
  • Really comfortable as can be. They were a great investment. Been using them more than i thought i would since.
  • They are a little expensive but I think they are worth it. It is hard to find comfortable, durable boots for my line of work.
Salomon Quest 4d 3 GTX Backpacking Boots
  • I had no problems with the inserts I put in damaging the goretex material which I read on some other reviews. Guess it depends on the width of the insole. Overall great boot.
  • Support is amazing around the ankles. I could not find a boot that really felt protective of this area. This is important when going through uneven terrain. The arch and rest of the foot felt very supportive as well.
  • First these boots are the most comfortable and stable boots I have ever had.
  • The comfort is still there as well. Still no pain in knees or feet or anywhere.
  • The boots were comfortable right out of the box, and I wore them around the house for a couple of days before wearing them on a 45 mile hike.
