A very bright light and good pattern. Quite light.
Light stays even for long time. Not dismisses like batteries.
The bright light modes are excellent for running and navigating through the woods to and from camp.
Light output is plenty, the wiser I get, the more I realize that total lumen output is nothing without a quality optic in front. This headlamp will replace all my others for quite some time.
It has three white light intensities. The least bright is not very bright, the middle brightness is pretty bright, the highest level is really bright.

The light worked great on my trip, and never had to be recharged or replace with AAA batteries I had along for spare.
Awesome little light! The three brightness settings are well spaced apart, quite reading light, I'm looking for my lost potato chip light, or I want to blind the squirrels light.
This light is EXCELLENT. It is simple and only has 3 modes but I think that is part of what I love about it.
I’m pissed. I do tattoos. This is not enough light to see. And $70. ???! Come on now
At first I was a little bit disappointed in the spread or peripheral coverage of the light, and perceived hot spots in the coverage area.

Quality but simple strap. I used it winter camping and for projects needing free hands.
This is a lightweight, bright headlamp.
The beam shape is great too. It has a horizontal spread that works well for lighting what you need to see.
Strap is very slick if you use it on a ball cap, be careful! It still side off or up.

The headband was easily adjustable, super comfortable, and the headlamp could virtually go unnoticed when wearing a cap.

Uses a "core" battery charged by miniUSB. Great battery life. It can also use AAAs.
The light unit with the rechargeable battery is very light and a great light for running. The strap is simple and stays put.
I love the rechargeable feature. i have used the bright light continuous for about 1.5 hours and didnt really notice a diminished light output
Great headlamp for the price. Very durable and functions as advertised. No issues and the rechargeable battery is a plus!
Only thing is you have to open the headlamp up to charge the battery, would be nice if USB port was on the outside.

Petzl ACTIK CORE Rechargeable Headlamp

I have yet to try this out properly to see how long the "CORE" lithium battery holds out, but that was the main reason for why I decided to try the "Actik" model.
The rechargeable battery is sweet, especially since you can now recharge your light while driving in a car.
I like the build , the battery pack has a light on it that lets you know when it's charged , and there's no adapter.
I was really looking forward to the rechargeable batterie feature. Unfortunately very disappointed with how quickly it drains.
But this rechargeable battery never worked. I have tried regular battery it worked, but even after charging the Petzl battery pack, it did not turn on.
