Seiko Prospex Diver SPB053 self-winding automatic watch, features a 42.6mm stainless steel case surrounding a blue dial on a black rubber strap with a stainless steel tang buckle.

The new Seiko Prospex Diver SBDC053 is based on the design of the 1965 original Seiko 62Mas (ref. 6217) dive watch, but it has been up-dated in functions and performance to a thoroughly modern dive watch.

It is a very nice looking watch, very distinctively profiled relative to most other divers on the market, and the movement is reliable
I have over 10 automatic divers and this is my go to watch. The lume is magnificent.
I wish I would have bought it a few months ago when I saw it for the first time. The movement is very reliable as well.
So far the watch keeps excellent time, I'm very pleased with it.

Upon inspection with a loupe the watch showed absolutely no flaws, the chapter ring is perfectly aligned and the bezel turned very well with no play once clicked into place.
The watch has been running for 48 hours straight now and has only gained about +1 seconds. that's better the my Rolex Sub did out of the box.
The dial is perfectly aligned with a subtle sunburst effect. Understated elegance, another dress/tool watch.
I can wear it with a suit and tie and it is dress enough for any occasion, at home at 100 feet below, and in the office.
The 200m water resistant case is treated with Seiko’s DiaShield coating, sunburst blue dial and applied markers.

The sapphire crystal gives it a very "rich" vintage look and the bezel is stunning.
The blue sunburst dial, brushed case, sapphire crystal, nice looking hands and incredible lume make this a first class sport piece.
This blue dial with silicone strap is much better with short sleeves and jeans or khakis.
The crystal sapphire looks awesome, and the lume is strong.
The bezel has such a nice sheen that it seems to change color at different angles.

The Seiko quality is evident in both the case and bracelet. As others have mentioned; the lume is fantastic - the best on any watch I have had.
The markers are bright and readable all night long. My crown was aligned perfectly.

My wrist is a flat 6 and 7/8 inches, and because this 42mm case has short lugs, it looks good on my wrist.
It’s a great looking watch and fits fine on wrists 7inches or bigger. The classic 62mas styling is awesome.
The dial has a subtle sunburst, which gives a nice depth. The polishing is excellent. Shockingly nice for the price.
Very beautiful retro styling. Diashield is a huge plus.
The divers band is super silky smooth and comfortable, this is the nicest dive band Seiko has ever released, so comfortable you will forget that it is there.
