What customers say about "Imaging"
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black)
  • Close focus - this really took me by surprise... I have shot subjects within 14" with remarkable sharpness, almost as if it was a macro camera. Combine this with incredible IS, and you have a P&S macro camera, which are notorious for needed a tripod.
  • This camera takes excellent images... I think the RX line is slightly better, as it has a slightly larger sensor.
  • This camera has MUCH better Image Stabilization than any P&S I have ever experienced, including the RX100II.
  • The images I have so far gotten from this little Sony ultra zoom are superior to the ones I got from Panasoni's 720mm compact ultra zoom offering. I was also really surprised how well the extra digital zoom worked.
  • The zoom at 30X may lock onto out of focus scene due to hand vibration and then I needed to pull back the zoom and restart the zoom a few times before it will refocus properly.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom with SanDisk 32GB Memory Card
  • RX100 advantages does have faster auto focus, in superior auto you do not need to physically hit a switch to go in between macro and auto focus.
  • Any fast moments, sports, children running, may present an issue, because in my opinion, the focus is a little slow.
  • Excellent image quality and solid ISO performance
  • he 1-inch CMOS makes the ISO of 800 (or even 1600 sometimes) highly useable; the maximum aperture of 1.8 gives bokeh effects.
  • The image quality is very good, but after using it for 1 1/2 years the lens would not retract or close. There seems to be serveral issues like this going on.

What customers say about "Display"
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black)
  • The biggest plus though is the pop up viewfinder. So many pocket cameras don't have one which makes it really tough to see the screen in bright light.
  • The main display is great and I like the fact that it can pivot 180 degrees up to do selfies, and also is good for taking pictures close to the ground.
  • You have to manually pop up the viewfinder with a tiny slider. I'm somewhat nearsighted (-1.50) but the diopter adjustment was easy and I have no problem seeing perfectly clear through it.
  • The articulating display is quite handy.... obviously for selfies, u simply flip it 180 deg and the display sits above the camera.
  • In direct sunlight it's all but impossible to get a good frame using the LCD display while zoomed in.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom with SanDisk 32GB Memory Card
  • All I needed was a screen to flip up while I vlog. But thats alright. It takes great pics of all my food(I am a vegan food blogger)
  • There isn't any big reason to go for the RX100 II or III, unless you want a tilting screen, wifi, or built-in EVF. The RX100 I is still capable.
  • The lcd screen has a dark blue or black coating that starts to peel after a while and some of the buttons lay to flush against the body making them hard to press.
  • The screen does scratch easily, buy a protector sheet. It is very expensive, as much as a DSLR body really. I
  • Screen hard to see in direct sunshine, despite WhiteMagic technology

What customers say about "Features"
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black)
  • I'd characterize myself as an advanced amateur user. Meaning I like to learn all the functions and play with different features and mode.
  • Sony has a nice feature where it will take multiple fast exposures and blend them together to achieve a low-noise yet non-blurry low light image. I've included an example of that.
  • I also appreciate Manual mode in a consumer level camera. While most people won't use it, there is always times when the camera does NOT know how to properly evaluate a scene, or you want an exposure that is not ordinary...so u can set SS and apt. yourself, nice touch.
  • Manual modes are there as well, and although they are not as easily controlled as a larger camera, they are adequate.
  • It has a variety of shooting modes available, and all seem to work well.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom with SanDisk 32GB Memory Card
  • Enough features to do more than just point and shoot althouh it does a good job at that. More current models have a bit more but at a higher price.
  • This is a great compact camera that comes with professional features and manual controls to take high-quality pictures and videos.
  • The features available for users to customize their shooting experience are fantastic and the quality of the photos taken are unsurpassed.
  • Still have not used all the modes of shooting but on auto its great
  • Camera overheats quickly in video mode within 4 mins to 30 mins. I would recommend this but just be aware of the overheat issue with the camera.

What customers say about "Connectivity"
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX90V Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black)
  • I also like how once set up, the camera will backup up photos to my iPad (when I connect my iPad to the camera's network name).
  • After some photo taking, WIFI connecting and feature tests, I found the camera very satisfactory.
  • Connecting the camera to an iphone works, but might not be intuitive to you. One place referred how to connect using my iphone as a network hotspot, a feature I don't use on my iphone.
  • Perfectly connected with my smartphone. With sdxc memory card, VQ is really great.
  • The GPS feature seems to work very well. The diopter for the electronic view finder was not strong enough for my eyes. Had no problem connecting to a computer with the USB cable.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 Digital Camera with 3.6x Zoom with SanDisk 32GB Memory Card
  • It even has a little icon showing you the status the Eyefi car, if it is uploading or connected to a hotspot of not.
  • Amazing quality. Just wish I had opted for the slightly higher model that had wifi, so I could connect to my smartphone.
  • I wish I had the WiFi connectivity for a remote shutter which you can used via an iPhone.
  • It is missing the wireless connectivity but you can use the eye-fi sd card like I do and no issues so far.
