Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio Interface with Pro Tools

The second-generation Scarlett boxes are simply amazing, tons of headroom and lowest latency yet!
This is great for anyone wanting to record one track at a time. It has no latency and sounds clear.
I love my Focusrite Scarlett Solo! It sounds incredible, there is zero latency, the illuminated clip rings are very nice and functional, it is built like a tank and looks very nice.
The built in preamps are great! If you know how to mix, automate, use your plug-ins and have a tight recording, it's totally possible to make a recording that sounds completely professionally produced.
Didn't work. I followed all the instructions and watched all the videos, looked at all the guides. The unit will not light up, although I do not have speakers, though my friend bought the same Scarlett Solo and he ran it just fine without speakers.
They claimed the clipping issue is fixed in 2nd Gen, but it's not. I have Gibson Explorer with stock pickups (496 neck/500 bridge). Instrument port is clipping with bridge pickup at 0 gain.

I have been looking for an external audio interface for a couple of months. I have been looking at every place with reviews, opinions, etc and I ended up with two options. One, this one and the second the Tascam 144 MKII.
The M-Audio FT Pro 4X4 is rather an excellent, versatile and intuitive audio interface usb device. Non intrusive, compact and small footprint, and very much robust, with very good noise floor spec.
This interface can be used for home and professional studios, working with Pro Tools M-Powered, giving you a great work from it. The thing that I dont like from this interface is the pre amp.
This audio interface its good only if you have a nice old PC and windows xp! No more drivers update, I has win7x64sp1 and driver sux, m-audio its now from AVID, and no more drivers update.
So, I originally bought this as an upgrade to an interface that I originally had. This interface has been awesome to me. Very clear. Now unless you need more than two inputs simultaneously, then I would definitely go for this one.

The size is also great for portability.
The box itself is very solid and feels like it will last a good long time.
This little amp may be small in size but what it does for my podcast is HUGE!
For voice over work, I was looking for a small portable unit that had decent mic pres. I got that and more.

This thing is awesome. Awesome. Well, as far as audio interfaces go, this is the best I've owned if only for the portability.
Good for its size and what it does. Unless you want to carry around half a studio with you this does the job just fine if you travel from place to place like me.

Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio Interface with Pro Tools

The Scarlett Solo made recording easy, and it fit right into my workflow without tripping me up. For a quick way to record a line and mic input at the same time, its a no-brainer.
The installation was a snap & it's powered thru the USB connection, so there is one less cable to manage/trip over.
My only regret about this guitar interface is that I didn't buy one long ago!

I needed the cheapest/best audio interface and this fit well. It's powered by USB so no need to worry about power cables.
It's decent as mic preamp, though there are no XLR outs. Why the hell not? It would at least be usable as a direct box if it did. It's nice to be able to digitise a mic, though. That's something that your soundcard can't do.
When your're using the XLR/TRS inputs, for guitars, basses or microphones, just to mix them left and right. The upper bottom (inst/line) it's to select between a guitar signal or a synthesizer signal.
The Mini has one XLR input, no MIDI input, and no S/PDIF docks, so it is less fully featured than the Fast Track Pro, but sounds much better, and, you know, actually works.
The "output" knob is for turning up or down your speakers level or anything you have connected to the RCA outputs in the back. The "level" knob is for the same function, but only if you connect a pair of headphones to the TRS input in the front, exactly below the "level" knob.

The bundled software is a plus. Great stuff for very little money.
The included ProTools and Ableton software completes the package and makes this a great value!
Amazing product..comes with tons of recording daws and plug ins too...the sound is very high quality.
This does exactly what it's supposed to do. I use it with Windows 10, Sonar Professional, and NI Komplete - works great, sounds great, and, yes, it is red!
I am a aspiring voice actor, I have to constantly update the drivers and it's quite annoying. It also doesn't work well with any recording software.
Sound turns into a robot half the time. The Mic does the same thing. Adjusted pretty much everything i could to make it stop and nothing has worked, but unplugging it and plugging it back in. Very disappointed in this Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen.

This interface includes a feature to listen to your input before it passes through the PC, and that helps get past the latency problems of hearing yourself while recording, if you know how to use it. It's a dirty hack, but it's good enough for me.
I needed the cheapest/best audio interface and this fit well. It's powered by USB so no need to worry about power cables.
Also, the LIVE LITE software is fantastic. You can set the tempo of a track by just going to the TAP icon which is a very important feature if you want to hear a track and follow with your guitar at a lower speed.

This is a great little machine, yes there are a few caveats.. but on the whole I don't think you will find anything else in this price range with better features.
