This model comes with 2 LED pinspots to light up the sphere from different sides all at once. They can be angled and rotated any way you want in order to find the perfect position.
The motor power cord is quite short.
The Adkins MBKIT-12DUAL-A is an all-you-need kit for an epic party with white-light LEDs. All components of the system work from the mains meaning you won't need to think of battery replacement. Perfect choice for medium-sized rooms and house parties.

The glass fragments are about 0.5 x 0.5 inches, which allows them to refract more light for brighter illumination. Don't lose their refracting properties even after prolonged use.
You'll need a powerful motor to spin a sphere this heavy.
If what you have on your hands is a true rager with tons of people coming over, you'll need a bigger ball and the 20-inch ADJ Products M-2020 is a great choice. It requires a powerful motor to run but the beautiful rays of the light refracted by its glass surface will surely prove it's worth it.
The motor power cord is 73.5 inches long, ideal for installing the sphere even in rooms with high ceilings.
The chain isn't rust-resistant.
A kit for those feeling tired of standard mirror balls. You get RGB pinspots to paint the dancefloor in new colors and a powerful motor that can run on batteries, making this a portable party starter pack! And the long power cord means that this set is suitable even for large rooms.

Made out of sturdy plastic, this model is more durable than styrofoam ones. Glass pieces cling tighter to plastic and stay on longer.
Some glass pieces still have adhesive on them, though it's easy to rub it off.
While this ball doesn't have much to offer in terms of versatility or new features, it's made of plastic and is thus more durable than its styrofoam counterparts. We recommend it if your parties tend to get rowdy and you don't want to get a new mirror sphere every few months or so.
The chain has detachable links so you can regulate how low the ball hangs, which may come in useful, especially for those living in houses with low ceilings.
The batteries run out pretty fast.
Not everybody wants a huge sphere when even a small one can do the job. That's when the modest 8" Adkins ball comes into play. Its motor runs on batteries and makes it a perfect portable model for those that like to take their party on the road.

Adkins Professional lighting MBKIT-12DUAL-A
All You Need for a Legendary Party
Looking to throw a party that your friends could remember for years? Well, you’ll need drinks, good music, and, above all, an appropriate ambience. We trust you can handle the first two yourself but you can leave the latter to the Adkins Professional Lighting MBKIT-12DUAL-A.
This kit includes a styrofoam and a glass ball that will spin up high as you shake it on the dancefloor, a motor that will keep that sphere going for hours, and 2 LED pinspots that bathe the glass orb in white light. The pinspots have rotary bases so you can angle them as you see fit, shining onto the ball from several sides.
However, make sure to set up the disco system well in advance so you don’t run into any problems. For example, the motor cord is not that long and thus the motor and, consequently, the ball have to be placed close to the socket. While the 12” sphere should be more than enough to light up a medium-sized room, it still needs to be placed in the middle of the dancefloor for maximum effect, so you’ll probably need an extension cord.
Other than that, though, the Adkins Professional Lighting MBKIT-12DUAL-A is a great kit for those who are about to throw an epic party. You won’t have to worry about the pinspots or the motor running out of juice as they both only need the AC to work. And dancing to your favorite tunes as white light refracts from the 12-inch ball is a classic way to have fun.
ADJ Products M-2020
Bigger Is Better
A standard 12” mirror ball may be good for lighting up a home party, the kind where there’s a bunch of people in your living room. However, if you’re throwing a shindig at a bigger space or even running a club where a disco sphere is needed nightly, you’ll have to find a larger and more reliable model. If this applies to you, we recommend the ADJ Products M-2020, a 20” sphere that’s anything but lightweight.
This model is covered in 0.5 x 0.5 inch glass fragments, which refract more light, creating much brighter illumination. While we’re not completely sold on the choice of styrofoam for the inner shell, it seems to hold the glass pieces well.
It’s important to note that the ADJ Products M-2020 is significantly heavier than most models you’ll see. The ball itself, with no chain or accessories, weighs 13.55 lbs, almost twice the size of regular 12” ones. This means that you need a powerful motor to keep this big boy spinning, which, in turn, eats a lot of energy. That’s why we wouldn’t recommend this for use at home but definitely find it one of the top choices for bars and other event venues.
So if you need a big and bright disco mirror sphere to keep the groove going, the ADJ Products M-2020 is just what the doctor ordered. It might not send your head spinning but its size and refractive properties make it great for larger events.
Colorize Your Parties with RGB Lights
The white light refracting off of a spinning sphere may be a staple of discos all over the world but we feel that it does get samey after a while. If you agree with that sentiment, you might like the Yescom 27SET002-12IN-RGB.
This model comes with a kit of a motor, a metal chain, and an RGB LED pinspot, just what you need to breathe new life into your parties. The lights will shift automatically between the three colors as the sturdy aluminum base rotates the pinspot.
For added versatility, the motor can be run both via AC and batteries, great if all sockets are taken up by other equipment or if you’re throwing a get-together in some place with no electricity. The pinspot, though, requires AC. We should also mention that the motor has a 73.5-inch power cord, perfect for rooms with high ceilings.
One thing that we’re a bit disappointed by is the chain, which might get rusty over time and you don’t want the only thing holding up the ball to snap. That’s why we recommend looking at some chains sold separately to find one that’s just as good as the rest of this kit.
Before we end, let us reiterate that this is one of the best LED disco ball sets out there, especially if you’re looking to do something new with your parties. Add some color to your dance floor and bring life back to music!
Eliminator Lighting 12 inch
Keep the Party Going for Years
Want a sphere that will keep spinning for years without falling apart like cheap knock-offs sold at chain stores? You’ve come to the right page then because the Eliminator Lighting 12 inch is the kind of product that stays in the family until you’re already a grandparent teaching your grandkids to bust a move.
We’re laying it on a bit too thick, of course, but this model is indeed much more durable than styrofoam ones as plastic is widely considered to be sturdier. Besides, the glass outer shell sticks better to this type of material so pieces won’t fall off as time goes by. However, the abundance of adhesive in this particular model is evident not just because it’s sturdy but because some spots still have traces of glue on them. So don’t forget to wipe down the ball before the first use.
Our only qualm is that you only get the ball itself with the purchase. No chain, no motor, no accessories, which is a bit disappointing. Sure, the price is very low thanks to that but you’ll have to buy all of the other parts separately. Of course, that does give you a chance to choose very specific brands of equipment that you trust.
All in all, the Eliminator Lighting may look like a standard 12” model but it’s much more durable and if you want to spend money shrewdly, this is a solid pick. This sphere will stay shining down on your dancefloor for years, no questions about it.
Adkins Professional lighting AL-DISM8
Take the Party Anywhere
Look, setting up an audio system, getting the speakers running, finding a spare socket for a disco ball, that’s all time-consuming and frustrating, we get it. Who wants to spend ages on setup when you’re just looking to party? Well, the Adkins Professional Lighting AL-DISM8 solves one of those problems elegantly.
Even if you end up partying in a place with no electricity, this sphere will keep on spinning as its motor only requires 2 AA batteries to run. Just get a bunch of them in advance and the glowing lights of the Adkins Professional Lighting AL-DISM8 will be available to you at any moment. However, when we say a bunch, we mean a whole lot as the motor does tend to eat through batteries pretty fast.
Adding to the convenient features is the adjustable chain. You can take off some of the links to shorten the length, which is useful if you’re in a place with low ceilings. Just be careful not to drop the sphere as you’re working on the chain, the glass outer shell definitely won’t withstand the impact.
So if you don’t mind a small disco ball instead of a giant one, the Adkins Professional Lighting AL-DISM8 is a solid choice. No need for electricity and complicated setup, just hang this bad boy up and get to grooving to the tune!
What Is a Disco Ball?
Since the wild 70’s and 80’s, no dancefloor has been complete without one simple yet glorious accessory. We’re talking, of course, about a disco ball, a staple of all clubs and dancing venues all over the world. It’s become a simple spherical symbol of a good time to be had. Spinning up above your head as you move to the rhythm, the mirroring accessory blasts light in all directions casting a myriad of colors and filling the room with amazing illumination. Of course, it can also be used for more intimate moments, refracting gentle reds as you have your first wedding dance, for example. However, its primary purpose will always be to get people hyped for a good fun party and that’s exactly why this is a must-have for any host that likes throwing get-togethers with friends coming from all over the town. No need for a DJ or some tacky hats, the disco sphere is a universal sign of a party no matter where you are and who you’re with.
