About the Product
Snowball iCE is the fastest, easiest way to get high-quality sound for recording and streaming. Powered by a custom cardioid condenser capsule, Snowball iCE delivers crystal-clear audio quality that’s light-years ahead of your built-in computer microphone. It’s even Skype certified, which guarantees great-sounding results no matter how or where you use it—at home or the office.
The Samson GO MIC is perfect for recording music, podcasts or field recording, but its range of functionality extends beyond typical USB microphones. Ideal for voice recognition software, iChat, web casting and even Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Blue Snowball Ice Condenser Microphone
  • The weight was great, the build seemed sound and the design was outstanding.
  • THis mic is shaped like a softball. It's big and round and made out of metal. you can feel the weight. I love this mic
  • Trust me it is built very well and has that weight to it
  • Product has some weight to it and feels like quality as well.
  • I really hate the weight. It's soooooo heavy for a mic. Like seriously, I mounted it and it always makes the stand almost fall over. Silly.
Samson Go Mic Portable USB Condenser Microphone
  • Well made. Works as expected. Mic housing is plastic and light weight. It is small but doesn't fell delicate.
  • My second impression was weight – very substantial for such a small device.
  • It is compact and mobile. It comes with a carrying case.
  • Super light, super small (can hide it between your two palms), great for travel and on the go.
  • It's very light weight, and the cable tends to turn the mic away from where it should point. Not enough traction on the rubber feet, I guess, nor enough mass in the case/base.

What customers say about "Features"
Blue Snowball Ice Condenser Microphone
  • The stand seems a little weak, But with the rubber at the end of the legs it works perfectly fine!
  • The usb wire is of very good quality and I don't expect any wear and tear for these guyz
  • Such an excellent usb mic picks up sound beautifully with no static at max volume settings picks up sound frome a distance
  • Comes with a nice stand that you can utilize, stands great on my desk and doesn't fall over if you don't hit it.
  • You can add many additions to the microphone such as a shock mount, pop filter and/or hood with ease.
  • The red LED. It looks terrible and is very intrusive. Yes, it lets me know that it's on.
  • It doesn't have the three settings that the Blue Snowball non-iCE has, instead only having the one setting that is most often used, the cardioid.
  • Only has Cardioid mode versus the non-ICE version which has three mode. No XLR output so you won't be taking this into a proper studio
Samson Go Mic Portable USB Condenser Microphone
  • It has a jack on the side for headphones so that you can monitor your own voice with no lag or latency.
  • It has an LED light indicating whether or not the mic is "clipping."
  • Three handy settings on the side for cardioid (straight on), cardioid-10db (for close-up speaking on one side), omnidirectional (records 360 degrees).
  • Perfect for recording while traveling, streaming and podcasts.
  • The stand is sturdy, but a bit too light. When you plug in your USB cord, it weighs it down and drags it. This can be easily fixed with a simple weight or a clamp.
  • The stand can only clamp on to certain things because it does not open very far.
  • The hinge on which it pivots can wear down after time causing it to droop.
