What customers say about "Key Specs"
Kensington Expert Trackball Mouse
  • Advanced customization features, such as slow, and linear options (press and hold a key while scrolling) facilitate precision movement.
  • The big heavy ball helps you be very fast or very precise, as long as your speed and acceleration settings are correct.
  • I think the scroll wheel has been upgraded to be purely optical on par with the ball itself, unlike the wired version.
  • Only good thing is the optical read - smoother than the old rollers, easier to clean.
  • Unacceptably poor feel as the wheel jiggles and moves without a professional level of precision and predicatability.
  • Very difficult when trying to make precise movements.
Kensington SlimBlade Trackball Mouse
  • The Slimblade seems to have a higher DPI than the Expert Mouse.
  • I always use expensive, very high DPI gaming mice, this mouse is very cool.
  • High quality scroll wheel and high DPI.
  • The LEDs are off for 400, red for 800, and green for 1600. I like this dpi and sensor.
  • Once set to 1600, the thing worked like a champ.

What customers say about "Size & Weight"
Kensington Expert Trackball Mouse
  • The large size of the ball itself allows for moving the cursor over a large portion of the screen with just a simple flick when needed.
  • First of all I want to say what a beautiful mouse this is. I adored the ball, it's size, placement, feel.
  • The ball is exceptionally smooth and perfect in size. It is silent in operation.
  • Love the size, fit for my hand and overall performance is great.
  • The weight of the unit, plus the rubber feet, sufficiently prevent sliding.
  • I do miss the old style larger ball. I don't know why the could not design this so the ring was bigger and keep the larger ball size.
  • The ball itself moves rather stiffly and lacks a slick gliding motion, perhaps due to its size and weight.
Kensington SlimBlade Trackball Mouse
  • It still has good size and heft.
  • Wonderful full sized trackball.
  • The ball is good sized and rolls smoothly.
  • I love the feel of this trackball. It's about the size of a pool ball though it's a few millimeters off.
  • I like the size, and it is smooth and provides good control.

What customers say about "Connection"
Kensington Expert Trackball Mouse
  • Wired is safer choice if you use it at a desk.
  • I like the USB cord, it allows me to ust the fromt port for me computer for my mouse.Plug and play.
  • Anyone can learn to use a trackball, the cord never gets tangled, the cursor stops moving when you do.
  • Cord is standard mouse length, to short to get to my left hand.
  • Expensive for wired USB.
Kensington SlimBlade Trackball Mouse
  • I also really like the cloth covered USB connecting wire. Good connect.
  • Connect the trackball to one of the USB ports. Easy.
  • High quality USB connector, has withheld several hundred connect/disconnect cycles.
  • With the track ball my hand was always in the same postition. Easy connect.
  • It wasn't detected when connected directly.

What customers say about "Features"
Kensington Expert Trackball Mouse
  • The material quality seems fine. It's not that light, thus not moving easily. The ball feels smooth.
  • The quality of the materials is pretty good on the device.
  • I'm happy to see that the price seems to much lower these days without any perceptible drop in materials or quality.
  • Software and programmable buttons: Appears to be the exact same capabilities as years past, which is generally OK. Having the 4 buttons is nice.
  • The concept of having a 4 programmable buttons, with a total of 6 combinations is the best among among any other trackballs.
  • The material is cheap plastic and makes a loud grinding noise when used and feels quite rough (although the scrolling on the screen is quite smooth). At night, during quiet hours, this noise gets quite irritating.
Kensington SlimBlade Trackball Mouse
  • I absolutely love this Slimblade, especially the scrolling feature.
  • You rotate the ball to scroll up and down. It's takes a little tweaking in setting to get the feel right, but then it's all good.
  • I was skeptical of the twist-to-scroll feature, but loved it right away.
  • I was skeptical regarding the 'twist' scrolling feature, but I'm pleasantly surprised by how easy it is.
  • The scrolling feature without the physical ring is new, it takes a short time to get used to, and works fine.
